The product did not work. Most likely a knockoff/fake that was useless out of the box.

Bought it for my 84 k20, works nice with gauge, but it reads hot, at 220, t-stat is a 195, someone else bought it for a similar truck and said it ran 60° plus above normal temp. Not sure why but I believe the same is happening to mine. It doesn’t spike up or down, but stays steady in between 210° and 220°, will return because for $30 I’d expect a better read.

Made my temperature gauge on my 81 Vette run true. Run a little hotter put actually goes up and down slightly as I drive, not spike up, spike down, repeat.

My temp gauge quit working so I went to the local auto parts store and bought a replacement, which read about 30 degrees above normal. Returned that and got this one and reads right on the mark.Read somewhere that the one wire sending units use the engine block for ground (return) and not to use teflon tape. Used high temp thread sealer and not a leak. Happy with this purchase.
