  • **Widely Used** SC20 transducer pickup system is widely used on various instruments, like acoustic guitar, classical guitar, resonator guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, cello, violin,Viola, Kalimba, Cajon drums,Djembe, etc.
  • **Easy to Use** No battery required, drilling and soldering. You just tear off the adhesive at the bottom of the transducer and stick it to the sound box of the instrument, and then connect the MIC or guitar input jack of the amplifier with a connecting wire.
  • **No External Interference** SC20 works in direct contact with the sound source. It can eliminate almost all external sound interference and is not affected by sound reflections from nearby objects.
  • **Replaceable Adhesive** The bottom is made use of transparent PMMA double-sided adhesive tape, which can be removed at any time without leaving an offset print on the instrument. If the adhesive does not stick, you can tear it off and replace it with a new one (6 adhesive stickers for SC20 are attached with the package)
  • **Universal jack**Jack female socket, suitable for universal cable with 6.35mm(standard 1/4") jack male plug.

This Transducer pickup can work well on guitar amplifiers and other musical instruments (such as violin, cello, ukulele, mandolin, banjo...). . The pickup is very sensitive and can restore the fidelity of the instrument, but the sound depends on the quality of the speakers.

Pros:Makes it easy to amplify or add special effects to any acoustic instrumentCons:Won't properly connect to any of the cables I havePoor connection means either no amplification or ear shattering feedbackThis would be a great item if it would connect and stay connected to my cables. The only way I can get it to work is to hold it in the inserted position, which means I can't play my instruments. Not holding it in means no connection, and holding it improperly leads to ear shattering feedback, even on the lowest gain levels. WHEN I could get the hold just right, it fed correctly and I was able to feed my acoustic guitar and djembe through my Boss GT-6 floor processor and Marshall 50 watt amp, or just the amp, but I only had one hand to then play the instrument. Perhaps there are special cables that would work with this, but standard electric guitar cables do not. I didn't think I would need to order this with the additional cable that they offer, so perhaps that is necessary to make this work. As it stands, I'm better off using my electric guitars with the floor processor set on "acoustic guitar".

Ordered this for my son, who has both and acoustic and electric guitar, but didn't have an easy way to amplify the acoustic one.Came well packaged with no problems. Installation was easy, with everything needed in the package. It sounds good; above what we were expecting at this price point.Pros: sounds decent, comes with several adhesive strips in case you want to move it.Cons: attaches with adhesive, which could damage some guitar finishes, or leave a mark if removed

This is a really simple contact microphone, held in place with strong double sided tape. In the box you get some the microphone and cable unit, six extra sticky dots for fixing it to things, and a single piece of hook and loop tape for attaching the cable jack to your instrument if there isn't a handy strap mount available. There are some instructions, but beyond a quick glimpse at the picture on the box you won't need them.Installing is as simple as peel and stick, and then you realize that it isn't. This really is a basic microphone, so you want to place it on the soundboard where the sound will be balanced. To far to either side and the lower or higher strings will dominate. The good news is that although the double sided tape is very strong and keeps the microphone in place without any wobble or risk of it dropping off, it also can be pried off without damaging the surface of the guitar and guitalele that we tried it on. You will want to wipe down and clean where you put it on first, and might need to give it another polish afterwards to rub off any dust or residue. After a couple of tries we found a good spot on the guitalele that let her plug it the pedalboard and amp more usually reserved for her regular axe. Now she can wail at a quarter scale with an electrified guitalele! In our testing the resulting sound was surprisingly good, with no buzzing or unexpected audio. I'm giving it a solid four stars, dropping the one star because there are no controls or options for tweaking the pickup which would have made it perfect. At this price it is a great way to electrify an acoustic guitar, or anything else that has a suitable soundboard!

Convenient quick fit to amplify an acoustic guitar but the sound is tinny and inconsistent. Easy enough to attach, and remove. Didn't really expect much for the money. There are better ways.

At $10 I had very low expectations. I got this to allow me to run my carbon fiber uke through an amp. I don't know why the good folks at Donner didn't include pickups, but that is another review. This piezo is among the simplest solutions to this issue. Simply peel the adhesive backing and stick this little SOB on and plug it in. Literally, the most difficult aspect of this installation was getting the cable jack onto the strap nut.Once installed, I plugged it in, and off we went. I knocked a star off as the sound is pretty treble-heavy and a bit tinny. It could be the uke, but I've never noticed it sounding this way on its own. This thing is pretty sensitive, so make sure you have some distance to avoid feedback. It actually picked up and amplified my speaking voice while I was playing around.Overall, a very cost effective solution to a common problem.

This guitar pickup is inexpensive and you get what you pay for. Since there’s no adjustment possible with it, it is just off/on - just be sure you have your amp dialed down to 1 or 2 and get some immediate distance between the mike and the speaker or else you’ll get some immediate (and overpowering) feedback. Even at 6’ away, I was getting feedback at a “3” volume level. So, yes, the pickup works - but it’s so sensitive at low amp settings that it’s difficult to adjust bass, treble, or reverb. Not recommended.

I installed this into a banjo (Deering Goodtime 2). The installation was dead easy. I simply stuck the microphone to the back of the banjo head behind the bridge with the supplied double-sided tape. I routed the wire and secured the jack to one of the banjo hooks and secured it with a wire/zip-tie.Plugged in and amplified it sounds great. The sound was a bit "woofy" but simiar to other contact microphones I've used. Since there is no volume or equalizer control you may want to have a preamp/pedal to make adjustments. For ease of installation and value, this is an easy recommendation to buy. This item was $9.90 at time of writing.
