This kit uses a large laser cutting machine for precise cutting, making the edge of the disc smoother, which is very suitable for making perfect cakes.

One disc for each size 6.5” (for 6” cake), 8.5” (for 8” cake), 10.5” (for 10” cake). The discs are sized slightly larger (1/2’) , This is the standard thickness of the cream on the side of the cake.
- The set is very straight forward to use. It will save you a lot of time achieving that perfect smooth edges.
- No trimming, simply place a disk on the top & bottom, fill sides & scrape away excess for a smooth, straight finish.

Very durable Was pleasantly surprised of the thickness. The only thing I had to do was file down a little nub where the cutting started and stopped so my blade would not skip. But such a minor thing. It didn’t stop me from ordering another set😄

I made my sister’s wedding cake. Large tier was 10” diameter, smaller tier was 6” diameter. I think getting the disks that were 6.5 and 10.5 in diameter was great because I did the crumb coat in white and none of it showed through once I added the blue frosting. I also tend to be a bit heavy handed with frosting so this kept my frosting layer a perfect thickness. One thing to watch out for, the discs are slick! Whenever putting the disk in a smooth surface you’re going to need like a wet paper towel or rubber layer to keep it from sliding around. Also, I’m used to a metal frosting scraper and I think the metal gets warm and helps smooth the frosting. Here, the frosting didn’t get as smooth as the metal scraper would make it, but was still very uniform.

I occasionally bake cakes for close family and friends, so I bought this set mainly for the discs to help ice my cakes evenly and faster. I also have been wanting to buy different cake scrapers so this product was perfect for me. It does take some getting use to, but the more you do it the easier it gets. I've iced 2 cakes so far and they both turned out great!

I struggled getting smooth and level cakes. These are very helpful. I first purchased the 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5 but returned them to purchase the 6.25, 8.25 and 10.25. I found it was too much icing. I asked my adult kids their opinion also and they agreed. (…and trust us we like icing) lol. Happy with the smaller size purchase.

I bought these for the woman who made my wedding cake. When I realized that one of her discs went MIA, I felt obligated to buy her a replacement. This was such a great deal and she was not only grateful, but very excited and pleased with this item. So, not much to offer for personal input, but she seemed happy with them.

I bought these for icing cakes. It's a game changer! The discs come nicely packaged. They are easy to use and my first cake turned out nice and smooth. I have not used the scrapers yet as I prefer metal scrapers. Metal is able to be heated up and helps with smoothing out the icing better.

As with other reviews, the disc's and scrapers are great however it's missing the two dowels it's supposed to come with in order to support the cake when using the discs. The discs themselves are great though. But maybe don't advertise it as a whole set when you're leaving out part of the product.
