Easy to replace foam that had totally disintegrated. Speakers now sound as good as new.

This kit made replacing speaker foam easy. Great sheet instructions and online video. Removing old glue from speaker cone and frame takes a little time. Glue new foam in was pretty easy. The videos are very informative with more tips than on then on the instruction sheet that comes with the kit. Great product.

So frustrated with this product. I purchased these to replace the damaged foam surround on one of my Advent loudspeakers. When I received these, I removed the old foam and positioned these in place. They were not a good fit...they're the right size, but the inner and outer diameter was off by 1/8"-1/4". I decided to try anyway, since the previous foam was already removed. I thought the first attempt went ok, but when I hooked up the speaker, something was rubbing and preventing the speaker from sounding right.I decided to remove it and try again, since I only needed to repair one and this kit has two foams. The second was also a poor fit, but I paid close attention to centering the cone to allow free movement. Impossible with this foam being oversized. I successfully bonded to the cone, but the outer flange was nowhere near where it was supposed to land and adhere on the metal surround. I pushed and pulled the cone as shown in the videos, and tried my best to get the cone to float freely without rubbing, but the foam just would sit right and was bunching up. Eventually, the foam tore...now I have three useless foam surrounds.I'm a mechanical and handy guy and should have no trouble installing these. Very disappointed in the fit of these to my speakers. Should have just bit the bullet and ordered a whole new woofer. Waste of money.

I have a pair of Cizek speakers that are still very valuable. But the woofer foam has disintegrated. Speakers sounded terrible when I lost the foam. These foams fit perfectly and has restored my speakers to new again. This was my second time ordering from this company as, I had a good experience the first time with them. I had other choices to pick from; but decided to go back to a company that I trust.

I figured I’d have to spend more than $200 dollars to refoam my vintage Advent speakers but was pleasantly surprised when I happened across this kit on Amazon. Watched a few videos on how to install, ordered the kit and went to work cleaning and prepping the speakers. Within 24 hours, my Advents were pumping out sound like the day they were new. Watch the videos, read the instructions and you can make this happen for yourself .

The repair kits were easy to install and the videos on the supplier's website answered any questions I had on installation. I purchased two repair kits - one for the original Advents and one for the second generation Advent speakers. I thought I was going to have to throw the speakers away until I discovered that the speaker distortion I was hearing was due to fragmented bass speaker supports. The speakers now sound as good as new.

The product worked very well and the instructions were fairly good. For the speakers I have, Advents, it worked much better to just remove all the old foam residue from the speaker cone carefully with your fingers using gentle rubbing. I tried using denatured alcohol to remove the old glue from the speaker cone but it became apparent that this was going to just make a huge mess and create a big problem and, really, lots of unnecessary work. The old glue line, with a small coating of foam material on it. was very stable and well attached to the speaker cone so it worked just fine to put new glue right on top of the line of old glue and then attach the new foam edge repair kit.

I almost never write reviews unless I am displeased but for these I will make an glad to give a complement. After 25 years the old foam surrounds on my Advent Legacy speakers finally went. Well disintegrated is probably a better term. I have refoamed speakers in the past an always ordered whatever was cheapest but for the Advents I wanted quality. If you've ever had a pair of Advents you would understand. I was pleased to see these were noticeably better quality than the cheap, typically darker colored, made who knows where, ones. The foam is slightly thicker and a has a sturdier feel. If you saw these and the cheapo foams side by side you would see how these are worth a little more. The instructions were easy to follow and the flexible glue was plentiful and easy to work with. The end result is that the speakers now sound like new once again.
