The detail of the painting is good. I was a bit surprised at how orange the back of the skirt is, had expected something more red, but the color is true to the photo (I just hadn't looked closely enough). I did have to do a bit of sanding and apply beeswax to make some of the dolls easier for little hands to open.

Was a gift and I'm so happy I decided to purchase it. Order well ahead as it does take a while to get to the States. Every detail was taken into consideration. It's bright and cheerful and would make a great addition to nesting doll collectors like my mother.
