I got this for my ever-growing plant collection, thinking it would be a great way to monitor the soil, and being such a fancy product I thought it would live up to the description and be a really great addition to my plant setup.. but it is so complicated. Maybe it's a user-error issue, but it just seems too complicated for what it is.. The moisture meter is also so thick it really messes with the soil, especially if you have a plant with thicker (or even really delicate) roots. I felt like putting it in the soil was breaking roots if I pushed it down too much, so I ended up not using it anymore and I purchased a super simple water meter that's like a meat thermometer. It reads the moisture, incredibly quick and painless, and it feels so much more accurate. If you're interested in new techy things, maybe try this out.. you might have better luck.. But I really do not think this is worth it personally. The concept is nice, but overall it seems far too "extra" for reading moisture. It also does temperature, but that felt off to me as well. I would try a plant several times and the temp/moisture would read different each time.. I'd recommend just getting a more simple option. Sometimes, simple is better.. and when you're dealing with a lot of plants at once, that's honestly the best.

You have to download their program and that's where things go awry. IT doesn't work. First of all, it constantly crashes. You open it, and it closes all on it;s own. It worked for maybe two days then it became completely inaccessible.

This seems like a silly invention, but it’s honestly not. I am terrible at remembering to water my plants and they almost always die. With this; I get an alert when it’s time and I’ve had less dead plants. It’s easy to set up and use. Well made and spot on with its requests.

I have this connected to the wifi hub (purchased as a bundle) which is within a few feet of the soil monitor. It's nice when it works, butnoftentikes the sensor will simply stop reporting to the hub and I will have hours or, in the case of today, most of a day with no readings. The temperature also changes between F and C in the app seemingly st random. This isn't very useful for me without the wifi hub, as I'd rather just stuck my finger in the soil to test it if I need to be standing next to it for Bluetooth anyway. The lack of reliability is a deal breaker for me on this, and I'm not sure if it's the hub or the meter at fault here. Definitely don't expect to rely on this when away from home to determine when to turn on your watering system
