These are easy to use. They are strong. Have caught a lot of crabs with these snares. They come with extra loops to replace any worn out ones. We have lost some when they get caught on sharp rocks and the line is cut or when they are not tied onto the line correctly and the go flying when casting. AirFly is the only ones I use and have been using them for 3 years.

I'm happy with my new AirFly 6-loop crab snare. It was quite easy to use and only took a few minutes to learn. I watched some YT videos and was ready to hit the waters in about 10 minutes. The snare loops are a good size and slide very easily, so with the slightest tug they cinch down tight if something is in them. There is a chance the snares can unwind though, so you'll want to keep constant smooth pressure on the line as you reel it back in.The snare is heavy, as it should be, so you will want to be using an 11 ft rod if you're casting from the shore. Alternatively, it would work well from a pier if that's allowed where you live.

I gave this two stars due to the design which was well thought out. The hardest part is that none of the snare rings function as they should to snap onto a 🦀 leg. I spent four hours out with razor clam and 🦑 squid as bait with no results on each rapid reel in. Back to the drawing board for this one. Save your money.💴

I ordered this thinking "why not." It seems to be well made; just curious as to how well it works - and how it works as, alas, it didn't come with any instructions. No instructions for how to use it or for how/when/where to install the spare parts. That in itself loses a star. This trap is also smaller than I expected. Not sure how well this will actually capture/catch blue claw crabs this summer, but we'll see.I will update the review later when I've had a chance to try it out. Until then, it only gets a middle of the road rating.

Impressed with the quality of this crab trap. I have a boat, but when not going out in it, and feeling like crab, I am going to rig up one of my fishing poles especially just for this crab trap to be used. Heavier duty line that I can still cast easily with - and then just have this little crab trap all rigged up and ready to go in the back of my SUV. This looks very well made and made, designed to cinch up on any crabs legs (and attached crabs of course) when near it. Then during Dungeness crab season, all I'll need to do is grab a cooler with some ice, swing by the grocery store for a raw chicken leg or two, and head down to the docks. There are always people down there with their crab pots, which they are for the most part just dropping straight down off the pier, and with this, I should be able to cast this thing out and crab much further out from the pier then they can. I'll be able to see if I can trade two chicken legs for a few crab legs... which sounds like a mighty fair trade to me!
