It's a fuel strainer in a fuel tank. Truck still runs so it's gotta be working.

Works well on my Suburban K1500 5,7L -96, Had great problems with cold starting. After changing to new fuelpump (Airtex E3270) and this filter it cold starts like a dream. Big change. Seem to be good quality for reasonable money.

I got this to go in the fuel tank of my pick up before I head out on a trip. This way if I have a problem while I am gone I can replace the fuel pump and strainer on the side of the road if need be.

Bought this before I realized I needed a whole new pump. New pump came with new filter. Go figure.I think I ended up using this one, but not sure.
