This tool is nearly identical to Mirka denibbing tool. The only difference is the handle color: AirVantage had a red handle while Mirka’s is signature yellow.Other than that, the tool is the same but few $$ cheaper. There were likely produced by the same contract manufacturer at the same factory.Overall, it is a decent denibbing tool. Like many other reviewers mentioned you need to be extra careful when using it. Especially if you use it while restoring automotive paint. It’s very easy to scratch the surface if you’re applying too much pressure or not careful. For these applications it’s better to use wet sanding. But to smooth out paint runs and other applications this tool is decent. The quality of the actual file could be better, hence the 4 star review. The tool is around $25 which feels overpriced - it probably cost $3-5 to manufacture it, but it’s a specialized tool - so I’m giving it 4 stars, let’s hope the tool lasts.

It's a file in a holder. Be really careful not to push on the tool, move over the imperfection parallel to the surface, edges of the tool will scratch the main surface. Very expensive for what you get.

Pay the $$ for this tool, or SUFFER the consequences from using the others. This has rounded edges and has both the heavy grit file, and the light grit file, as an all in one tool. I've been doing paint and bodywork for about 30 years. Let's just say that I WISH that I would have had this particular tool years ago. Great fit in the hand, and great overall design. This is the tool that professionals use.

I actually purchased this to have around for some auto body panels I was painting. Just the right aggressiveness to chase down a run.I bought a second one to use on my house renovation. Keep it in my pocket for quick drywall spots, removing runs or dirt/dust nibs in paint, etc.Saves hours of work!

Its a decent tool. You can flip the file on it cause it's held on by a magnet. One side is corse an the other side is fine. Great for heavy runs on clear coat, yet you must let clear coat dry b4 trying to cut run. I would not try an nib dust out with it cause you'll be putting 40grit scratches on the outside of the dust.

This nib file has worked great for me. I tried a new clear coat and with the weather getting colder I had a small run or 2 that I tried it on. My advice is to let the clear coat cure for at least a day or 2 before using this. The clear needs to be hardened otherwise you will dig into it. The coarse side of the file is aggressive to start. Take the file out and flip it over for the finer side. This file is nice quality and has served me well. I definitely recommend this tool.
