Love this purchase, the only reason why I’m giving it 4* instead of 5, is because of the blue plastic coating that is on the top and the door of this stove. Impossible to take it off without scratching it, which defeats the whole propose of having that plastic coating on it in the first place.

The design idea of this alcohol stove is good, with a removeable tray to fill/refill the alcohol, and doors over the alcohol cup to adjust the flame, but the way they built it isn't done well at all. Overall, it has very poor quality construction. Not sturdy at all. It will require very gentle handling to use. The alcohol cup tray assembly is made of thin aluminum that bends easily. The mechanism to open and close the cover doors for the alcohol cup, and control the flame, gets stuck/jammed easily in the nearly closed position when operating, requiring you to remove any pot or pan you may have on the burner and manually push the (hot) door down and back open. Several of the components on the removable alcohol cup drawer are poorly aligned and require careful manipulation to get it to open and close properly. Finally, the manufacturer put (sprayed?) a blue plastic protective film on the top and front of the stove that was extremely difficult to remove. It was very thin and mostly shredded into irregular pieces rather than peeling off evenly. Lots of sharp edges throughout the interior of the stove made it difficult to handle while scraping off the plastic film. Maybe that didn't need to be removed, but I tested a small piece of the film to see how it reacted to heat and it melted and charred, so I opted to try and remove the film.Overall, I don't recommend buying this stove. I'll be looking for a better quality one.
