More awesome than expected. It does come with a push/pull pot which seems to activate neck pickup in the first and maybe even second positions. I replaced some really crappy pickups on a project guitar with this and it’s a solid improvement. Like some other reviews say you will likely need to route out the body of the guitar to make some more depth for the selector and pots. Overall couldn’t be happier with this.

I'm still amazed at the sound of this package! For the price of a "name brand" pup you get an entire loaded pickguard that holds it's own against any of the ones sold at big box stores or big websites. They sound great!

I upgraded to these in a strat style guitar that I built from a kit, now I play this guitar much more than my American Strat! AND with a cost less difference of $1500, amazingly, this is now my favorite guitar.

For the cost it’s excellent. Obviously not top quality potentiometers and such but works well. Fits perfectly into standard strat routing with no alterations needed.

Purchased this for a strat build. Since the components are big and the push pull pot was so deep, it required me to route out the electronic cavity to fit it all, but i love the look and the pickups sound great with all the combinations it can make. Highly recommended!

I shoved this on a Fazley Phynica (Cheapo strat copy.). Been busking it on the London Underground. It came full of static, but that can be sorted out with a few squirts of contact cleaner. I'm really enjoying playing with it. Lots of clarity on all 3 pickups. The bridge tone control is also a 2 push/pull switch that gives a Gilmour selection. You can tell the different in response between this pot and the tone pot for the middle and neck. It rolls off the higher range unevenly in comparision, but somehow this just adds to finding new tones. The bridge pickup is as bright as my teles'. Tremendous fun. Very impressed for the price. The paint is flakey but I don't care. Maybe it'll look cooler as it flakes off, maybe I'll have an excuse to buy another pickguard and transfer the electrics over if it doesn't. You can't afford the vintage Fender one, buy this one. You're only losing about 5% of the playing experience and 15% of the quality. Upgrade the bridge push/pull tone pot and the actual pickguard for one that's not flakey and you're pretty much there.

Good strong packaging, well protected. Described as wooden scratch plate, it's not, it's plastic but, good job on the woodgrain immitation. One little niggle, see photo's, bridge and centre pickups. End pole piece on each is slightly off centre causing the bronze cover to distort as it was forced on over. Also causes these two pole pieces to not be directly under the high 'e' string, slightly off to the right, viewed from front. Neat job on the electrics. Pots are full size with good quality heavy wiring. But beware , the tone cum push/pull switch is quite long and the 5 way switch is even deeper. You Will have to remove some material (wood) from the floor of the switch cavity where the 5 way sits cos it bottoms out there. The push/pull switch is stiff to operate and due to the tapering design of the knob you can't grip it tight enough. Either use different knobs or devise a way to stop your fingers slipping off. Sounds good, quite deep and mellow tones I found, although there's a whole lot of variations possible. Overall, good value for money.

I took a gamble on this product cause I had bad luck buying "No Name" brand pickups before. They were so bad that after a couple plays I ended throwing them right in the trash! Now this is not the case here. When I opened up the box I was pleasantly surprised to see 2 things right away. 1st was full size alpha pots! Great to see that in a loaded pickguard at this price. 2nd was cloth covered wiring. Another plus just for the added detail. I also love that the tone pot has the Orange Cap installed. This allows for tone control on the bridge pickup and the Push/Pull pot allows for The Bridge and Neck to be played at the same time!! BIG BONUS for this price point. The Alnico 5 pickups sound good for this price point but yet not as defined as some others I played.I am knocking off 1 star due to the paint they used for the coloring of the guard itself. It's made to look like woodgrain with a brass style pickup cover but this is painted plastic and does scratch very easily. Not a deal breaker but something to mention.All in All I'm extremely happy with this setup and will be buying another one for a Yamaha upgrade.
