It looked like the teeth on the old drive gears were showing some wear and started making some noise. Installed the new gear set this weekend and the bike rides like new. Perfect replacement. Thanks

The right side crank arm with the crankset had no issues, but the left side started to creak after 30 miles. I took it apart and find that it's fully deformed at the inner edge where it meets the bottom bracket. I have no idea why the right side fits well but the left side didn't fit on the bottom bracket well. Everything else works and fits fine, it's as if they didn't drill the left crank arm out enough.

This is a quality product. I switched this in for my old 22/32/42 tooth crankset and fortunately didn't need to replace my derailleur.

Received 175mm kit as advertised. Crank puller tool was purchased separately and ultilized for removal of old crank and left crank arm. No bottom bracket tool necessary if only replacing crank. Shimano crank itself is beautiful including well machined auminum crank arms; even chain guard looks sporty. Solid black aluminum pedals look great with arms. Excellent value.

The item description is accurate but incomplete. This crankset requires a 122.5 mm spindle to maintain the correct chainline. My bike has a 110.5 mm spindle and there is no way to avoid the chain rubbing on the front derailleur cage when the smallest chainring is engaged. Easily fixed with a new bottom bracket, but be aware. The item itself is a good value for the price. The chainrings are not replaceable, but then again, a chainring or two costs as much as the whole crankset. The chain guard is easily removable - I wish they offered the 48/38/28 without the guard for a few dollars less. If you are running a 7 or 8 speed setup, I don't see a reason to go with a more expensive part as these are generally found on entry-level bikes and there is no point in upgrading the crankset if the rest of the drivetrain is outclassed.

Loved this Shimano crankset. Was very happy to see a good quality crankset, was super easy to install. I paired the crankset with Shimano UN300 sealed cartridge bottom bracket and my bike is very happy!!!! Highly recommend this product!
