The cube with a lid is a great idea. It’s sturdy and can be easily stored or pocketed without leaving chalk all over. I expected to be able to remove the lid and use the chalk within the cube. However, as soon as I turned the opened cube over, the chalk fell out. If you just want a container, this is fine. If you are looking for a useable holder, this is not the product you want.

Product is very well made and the red color is very vibrant (will make it easy to spot and not generic black if I ever lose it and ask around to find it). No blemishes or damages upon receiving the item. Not ideal to use as a magnetic chalk holder base as the chalk is slightly small. I got this know this. I got it to store my chalk in my cue case to prevent chalk dust and damage. It works as I thought. Excellent chalk storage case! I would buy it again if I ever lost the one I have.

Praise the Lord! I bought this chalk holder believing that I could chalk directly from it. It is just a portable chalk holder. I love the look, the sturdiness but it does not work for the purpose I was buying it for. I would not buy this product again for this reason. Blessings!

I don't use my cues much, but when I go somewhere their chalk is always sparse. This one does not have a means of securing the chalk in the case, if that is what you want. The chalk easily pops out easily to use at whatever location you go to. That is a personal preference. It provides sufficient protection, though I would prefer a sightly tighter fit. Magnets secure the lid well.

With the prices of the new chalks, I decided to try this to keep them from getting damaged while in my case or when I left it in my pocket. Been using it for a little while now, and love it. Great little product, well made, and holds together well with the magnets.

I put a small piece of mounting tape inside the small segment and stuck my Kamui 98 inside. Works great-no mess.

These are by far the best chalk holders I have found to date, not only do they securely hold my chalks, but they also keep all that chalk dust from getting all over my equipment and through my case.
