I’ve never used a pizza peel before since I just started getting into pizza making maybe 6 months ago. But I recently got a pizza stone so I figured a peel/launcher would be a good idea.This one I liked because you can leave the handle off for storage and then easily put it right back on during use. First impression is it has a nice weight and feel to it, but it’s pretty thick and I worry how I’m going to actually launch the pizza due to the thickness.After using this a few times it’s actually not as hard as I thought to launch it, but since it is on the thicker side you def can’t use it to take the pizza back out of the over after it is done. A metal peel probably would have been more user friendly for a newbie, but I made it work. All in all not bad.

I like the fact the handle is short as it fits in my cutting board area without having to remove the handle. The peel arrives in two pieces & you have to screw the handle to the peel body, which is easy to do.What i don't like is the tapered edge is thick & does not easily slide under the pizza. It did not work well with a oblong (13" x 6) flatbread. I had to go back to my air bake cookie sheet for that. For a 12" round cauliflower crust pizza, i had to use a spatula to guide the pizza onto the peel.I gave this one a try because the metal ones usually have a long handle. I'm short & those long handles are quite awkward.All- in- all, I probably would've returned it had I tried it within the return window.

It wasn't clear from the picture or product description but this arrives in two pieces with a screw on handle. While it is a secure fit with currently no wobble I am concerned if that may become an issue over time if I'm not very careful to heed its lightweight description and attempt to use it to move too many toppings heavy pizzas. For now I'm quite happy with it but did take off 1 star as it wasn't clear this was a two piece peel and I am concerned that may eventually become a weak point.

this is great, it comes with the handle off, so you screw it on, just took a second and i used a mini screwdriver. its soft, smooth and well made - i feel like im always awkwardly trying to get a pizza on a cooke sheet which never fully fits so this will be great to get on and off the oven rack. i will say, this wont fit like a larger pizza on it - i get some smaller personal sized ones from trader joes that will work better for this so keep that in mind - its not for huge pizzas.

I have ordered a couple of metal peels but ended up giving them away. I ordered this wooden one and there are several things I like about it. The handle is easy to put on. The wood looks great on my counter with my cutting board. They are the same wood and blends nicely with my modern farmhouse look. The wood is very washable and will hold up very well. Lastly the peels finish is very smooth and that makes it easy to remove the pizza from the oven. You’ll love it!

The peel itself is made from quality wood. It is sturdy and heavy (not lightweight like the description). It is thick and has a curve at the end for ease of use. The biggest issue I had with this is the handle is a separate piece and has to be screwed on. After a few uses, with the weight of the peel and moving around, the handle started to get wobbly. I retightened the screws however I am anticipating this to be a consistent issue.

I'm pretty happy with this pizza peel. The last one I got didn't have a tapered edge. It was more like a serving tray, but it was advertised as a pizza paddle. This one has a tapered edge, which makes it much easier to get under the pizza to put it in the oven and pull it out.It appears to be well made. It's got a good weight to it and feels pretty solid. I've mainly been using it with those cauliflower pizzas from Costco and it's been working great. It's the perfect size for those.It would also work well as a serving platter, not only for pizza, but for other things like bread and cheeses and such.Overall, I think it works great for my needs and I haven't encountered any issues yet.

It is a good size, and fits in the cabinet with my baking pans. Surprisingly, it weighs more than I would have thought for bamboo. The handle is detached and simple enough to screw together. My concern though, is that the screws will come undone. Not exactly I picture for a wooden peel. I would prefer a one piece wooden peel.
