We have had various front boat ladders in the past, and needed a ladder for our new pontoon boat. We always get off & on the boat front onto the beach & this style of ladders are the best for that & stores nicely under the boat. It looks good, but it has some major faults, just like all the other brands. We thought buying a 4 step would raise up the steps to be easier to get on. But the top step height is still too low from the boat deck. Also, the steps are too narrow, making it very uncomfortable on the bottom of our feet. All our friends have the same issue and we're revamping them. We have to build up the top step and widening them. Making them useable for our pontoons. It never looks good but we want them to be safe. We're hoping someday the companies will try it out & see what design changes needs to be done for boaters.

Look no further!! This ladder is perfect. It holds a lot of weight and is so sturdy. We mounted this on our pontoon boat and everyone loves it. I love the extra step as most only have 3 steps. I can't rave enough about this ladder. It mounts very easy and is perfect for boats like ours. Highly recommended!!

i didn't really trust the lag bolts it came with so i bought bolts to bolt it to the deck of the boat

This is a good solid ladder that functions well. the install was easy (no fasteners included but used 1/4-20 stainless carriage bolts) Cant go wrong for the price. (and maybe could not go wrong for double the price)

Looks great and is sturdy. I weigh 270lbs and it holds my weight good. Had to replace the velcro with a bunji cord on the first day. But other than that works great.

The seller Yae-Mart-First Mall is terrible. Buy a similar ladder from another vendor. Plastic end cap fell off first day out. amazon says return after I drilled new holes below water line and waterproof adhesive.I tried to explain this to the Amazon rep and he still sends a return label. I would have destroyed the ladder getting it off, like I did the old one. Waterproof adhesive works great and holds tight. You also have to buy your own hardware. Be sure you know what you need.Buyer beware when you buy an item like this. Do your home work on the seller maybe asked them questions. I sent 5 emails and had to take a photo to get a small plastic piece. They sent me a photo of the wrong end of telescoping ladder. I simply said no the smaller end at the bottom of the ladder. They didn't seem to understand.

Bought for my dad to replace his old ladder on his boat, while it didn't come with any mounting hardware, I'm fine with that as I'd prefer to buy my own hardware on that part of the install. Ladder is good quality and well made, very sturdy and I'm a big dude (6'8" 300lbs) Highly recommend for the price.

I purchased on older pontoon boat that had a portable ladder you would have to lift out and store each time you need it.I mounted this on the bow of the pontoon, directly into the aluminum framework.I is very sturdy and looks to be very similar quality to the ladder that is on my Cobalt boat.I tied a short rope to the bottom rung and we are able to pull the rope up and get it in the closed position very easily. This was installed at the end of the boating season so I am looking forward to getting lots of use out of this in 2014
