and the price is not bad. But typically only one seal fails and that should be available separately as 012325-0070A. That was discontinued. Way to go American Standard! Following in Boeings footsteps?

Product is 4 9/16th in length for all those asking. It is an exact replacement and worked beautifully. Nice seeing as you can't find these anywhere in stores so this was a life saver. It was this or replace the entire plumbing to moreodern stuff... So 5 stars, stopped the tub from going while shower head was still on. Also stopped a leak.

Fixed the leak in my shower. I could not have done this myself as it required 2 specialty tools that a plumber would have. I have a 3 escutcheon shower (hot, up/down, cold) maybe called the Williamsburg? When in the "up" position, scalding hot water would drip/run out the "down" faucet, burning my feet while I showered. Also, when making a bath with both hot and cold on full, water would drip out the shower head. If you are having these problems, this might be your solution.

I live in an area where there is plenty of lime in the water, and scale builds up everywhere, including this valve. When the scale build up, it get really hard to turn, and does not seal the tub spout while in the shower position. I have gone through 3 of these now in 15 years, and they are exact replacements for the shower fixture. The last one I removed was very heavily scaled up, so I thought to dip it into muriatic acid (after doing some mortar /brick cleaning I had muriatic), and it was cleaned instantly. Next time I'll try the cleaned one, but I have a new spare just in case.BTW, Plumbing supply was more expensive than Amazon, so ordered from Amazon. Previously went with plumbing supply place, but now Aamzon has just about everything.

It's a replacement part and is exactly the same as the diverter it replaces but it's just a crappy design. The rubber grommet on the back of the brass piece comes off easily, and tears easily if you need to remove the diverter which you might since it's easy to turn the handle too far and unscrew the plastic piece. So it gets 3 stars for being what it's supposed to be ... an exact replacement of a terrible and cheap design.
