In the major stores you pay about $50 for 100 square feet. This worked well and saved me hundreds of dollars. I recommend if you have a large area to do! We were doing an entire house and couldn’t afford the expensive stuff, this didn’t disappoint AT ALL. Use a staple gun to staple it down, will make your life easier.

I've done three houses, wall to wall. I've used the Roberts First step (which is great but expensive) on the first two, and this Amerique brand on the last floor. The Amerique is just as good and saves quite a bit of money. It will roll out a little wavy (because it's on a roll), but it will smooth out as you start putting planks on it. If you have trouble with the waves, staple one end to the subfloor and then pull taught and staple the other end--don't staple the whole run. It's a good quality product. Bonus tip: if you're using a pull bar, put a couple felt chair pads on the bottom of the bar to prevent scratching the floor. Have fun . . .
