Thought I'd save some money by buying this over the name brand. I was wrong. This stuff is super thin and delicate. Might hold water if you test it right off the roll, but as soon as you've folded it or trowled over it all, even lightly, this stuff will start to leak. Extremely thin and delicate membrane. Will need to replace all tile in my new bathroom. Not happy at all.

I test a lot of waterproofing products and for this test I used USG 1/2" cement board, and Laticrete 252 Gold thinset. The feel of the product it's self is not like schluter. It folds/creeses a lot easier which is nice, the fiber fleece hairs are a lot longer which actually is what you want so it adheres and sticks to the substrate. To avoid pulling the hairs when troweling skim coat and let dry, unless your not picky it's fine.After 3 hrs of using the mentioned products above, I tried pulling a corner of membrane off the cement board and it adhered just as good as schluter, so I followed that with running the entire test sample (6x6) under the sink and let it sit for 20 min. The product on top was wet as normal so I pulled a new corner back, and it was completely dry! I would highly recommend buying this product if u don't want to spend a butt load on schluter . I also use a 100% waterproof clear silicon for $10 to cover the seems/edges where there could be a void to make this a bullet proof product instead of spending $180+ on liquid membranes. It doesn't need to cost hundreds of dollars to waterproof..these major companies are taking advantage of people and after I got tired of my customers buying their over priced crap I went into a major test mode and have zero issue so far. Id recommend testing your material before you go putting in an entire shower to see for yourself. You would be surprised at the results if u use my test above! Make sure u mix the Laticrete thinset up as recommended and then make it runny enough so it doesn't flash on you while installing the membrane. Anyways I'm sold on it. I'm going to make more reviews eventually on more products but it'll be a bit considering this method is awesome lol

Item arrived quickly and as expected. The amount actually surprised me - it appears as if there’s more than enough for my one bathroom project, although I haven’t installed it yet. Exactly what I needed for my shower to protect against water and moisture. I’m hoping this will also reduce mold.Holding off on installation until the bathroom walls are sanded and prepped. So far so good.

Pretty easy to work with, malleable, Laps very well. The shower pan I had was made of fiber glass and has broken next to the drain 3 times. Was time to make my own. We are going to reuse the glass surround.
