This is my first time to try Ampersand for wood panels, and sadly the last. One of the two is okay--no flaws so far. The second has a 1-inch "bubble" where the wood is peeling off. I glued it, but it is still unusable for my purpose. I want to use wood panels because I do plaster art and it can be too heavy for canvas. I would definitely not want to sand it because the "wood" surface is way too thin. I would also be concerned that it might lift under the plaster and ruin the artwork. I would not recommend this product to any artist.

2 of these frames were 1/8th of an inch out of square. I will not buy these again.

I used these as the base for a mod-podge collage. They worked great. The wood was clean and level. I was even able to add eyelets for a wire in the cradled back.

I won't buy this product again - two boards in the package - once opened the board not shown had sizable cracks on the surface- since I fully opened the package, I decided to cover the top (of the board) with canvas and will use from here. Can't take the chance again, so will find a better alternative.

I use many Ampersand products for my art work. It was great to discover this great value in the Birch Wood Panel!!Not only is it a wonderful value, it's perfect for collage. I use Nori sea weed paste to adhere paper . The smooth surface in combination with Nori seaweed paste made it easy to have a "wrinkle free" result. I'm a happy customer and will certainly buy this product again. As always, Ampersand does not disappoint.

These are so sweet - the perfect size for mini paintings and smaller sized studies. I like how lightweight they are and no issues with warping. They seem higher quality than some similar wood panels I've bought previously. I will continue to purchase these panels moving forward because they are a great product for the price and I love the fact that they are made in the USA.
