This scanner does so much more then I expected it to. Gives you the fault codes, you can clear the fault codes. You can give a real time test for your battery and alternator. Gives you freeze frame data, accurate emissions readings, basically everything a big expenseive scan tool worth thousands can do. This is a great product I highly recommend for any diy mechanics looking to save money.

This product is OBDII compliant and, in combination with the application on a phone, can give you real time information on your car's mechanical and electrical systems. It's very useful for diagnostic needs if you have a check engine light or similar warnings, allowing you to repair needed problems and clear codes from the system. These are screenshots of my cars system. There are many screens but some of them contain very specific information about the vehicle it is connected to, so I chose not to include those, but you will probably find that information useful as well. All in all, another quality product from Amtifo.

This is a very handy tester.It connects very easily thru bluetooth. It streams real time data and will read check engine light codes and will erase error codes. Nice small size to leave in glovebox or leave it connected to the OB2 port.

I am really impressed with the overall quality, feels nice and fit the obd port well. I downloaded the app, plugged in the reader and it connected almost immediately. The app is very nice, check out the screen shots. The layout is great and all the functions worked smoothly without any lag or delay. I am going attempt to connect it to my Android radio for on screen diagnosis. Great product and would recommend to a friend.

I was skeptical of this inexpensive scanner because I'm a fairly experienced DIY mechanic and I've used some other scanners, some very basic, some pretty advanced. My concern was that some scanners aren't compatible with hybrid cars. I have 2 Toyota Highlander hybrids, a 2015 and a 2024. I was pleased to find that this scanner worked well in both cars.It was very easy to install and use. The application has a good user interface, but context sensitive help is not always available for some areas. It appears to be accurate as it produced data that closely matched data from some other scanners I have. In fact, it gave me more and better data than some of my scanners that cost much more. It does remember individual cars that it has been connected to, so you don't have to keep entering crazy long VIN numbers, etc. You can plug the scanner in, start the app on your phone (I used a Pixel 6 Android) and have data displayed within a couple minutes. You can leave the scanner plugged in and do some rudimentary performance testing as you (safely) drive the car.Regarding security, the scanner itself is not capable of writing to the car's computers or making functional requests on the CAN bus. This means the scanner is not going to harm the car or its computers. The app has been developed by a reputable group and security/privacy explanations are clear. You may have misgivings about installing a Chinese app on your phone, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything more secure or safe than this application, for this price.So, who would benefit from using this scanner? I believe it would work well for people who simply want to know why their "Check Engine" light came on. This would help them verify that a dealer or mechanic is describing the actual problem accurately. Also, the scanner can reveal faults that are present but not serious enough, or frequent enough to turn on the warning light. This might encourage some owners to investigate more and possibly fix a minor problem before it becomes a major problem.DIY folks like me would appreciate being able to zoom right in on a problem area then use the data from the scanner to confirm the problem is actually fixed. A pro would probably have a full featured (expensive) scanner and would find this one to be lacking a lot of convenience features found in advanced units.Bottom line: This scanner is a good value and, like any tool, if you understand its best uses it is a simple and easy way to monitor a car's systems. I would buy this tool even at a higher price point.
