Since they are sold together they are a great value for the money. My daughter plays the trumpet and this works very well for her they are stable and the quality of both pieces is worth their money

The lyre is crappy. The rubber tips that protect the trumpet fell off with in the week.

I don't have a lyre mount on my trumpet, so I got this hoping to be able to clip onto my lead pipe or bell flare, but the first time I tried attaching it, the screw literally broke off. The flip folder is okay- light and thin, but it seems like it would be fine once it gets loaded with music.

Two stars because the flip folder itself is nice and comes with a lot of windows, so it could be worth it for that. However, if you fill the flip folder with music it seems to be too heavy for the holder. The first day I used it, the rubber protectors tore from the folder causing it to tip—I didn’t notice and my trumpet got multiple scratches on it.
