I was looking forward to getting this case as I'd just purchased a new 55S mic and wanted to protect it.Yes, the mic does fit nicely and securely in the case, and the case is attractive and reasonably well made. It's just that it isn't very sturdy. The materials are thinner than anticipated and unlike other 'hard' cases I have for my other mics, I can easily push in the top and edges with just my fingers, making me think if I were to drop the case, with the mic in it, it wouldn't fully protect the mic from damage unless it landed 'just so'. So, even tho it's a nice case and looks good, as well as a decent fit for my 55S, it's protection is mainly from dust and the usual wear and tear you'd have if your mic wasn't in a case. 3 stars.

A great case for your super 55! Fits snug and no concerns about security. Case is robust and will definitely keep your mic protected.

Overall, the case does exactly what it is supposed to do, protect the microphone. Although it still works with the mic stand adaptors, it doesn't fit correctly with the adaptor on it. I suggest getting the measurements of the adaptor for the Shure 55 Super and incorporating those measurements into future designs.

This case is exactly what I needed for my Super 55. It's very light, and fits easily into my backpack. The exterior material feels quite strong, and it looks really nice. The Super 55 fits perfectly, and it's easy to take the mic in and out of the case. There's a thick layer of foam padding surrounding the mic, so I feel very confident that my Super 55 is protected when I'm traveling. I will definitely be purchasing other Analog Cases in the future for my other microphones.
