I am studying anatomy and it was so hard to picture orientation of each bone and foramen. This helped me tremendously! Great price! Other product which is actual skull size costs about $300 which is insane. This is much better!

The bone coloring is a dry somewhat aged bone, and it is wonderful. The skull is in proportion for all the parts- it is not warped or strange. Teeth are in line with the size of the skull. If you are an artist, and I fancy that in some way I am, then this is a very good little reference for your drawings. I've tried to draw from photos or online depictions of a skull and there's just nothing like being able to slightly turn or roll a model in your hand or on a box for drawing the angle you want. This product has sufficiently strong magnets holding the parts together. You can easily jostle the skull without it falling apart in your hands. Also the material is a semi soft, more hard but smooth rubber, that has magnets at key points that connect everything. There's no spring in the mouth holding the bottom jaw closed but the material could easily accommodate your own system if you wanted that type of closure. Very happy with this. I'm sure my doctors would love to have something like this for their collection. 27 thumbs up on this one.

If you are a DO student that has to learn cranial OMM and how the bones of the skull move, this is a great tool for doing so. Honestly not sure what else this would be practically good for unless you're a super visual person or want cool decor.

This model is outstanding. Solid tight connections and the sutures come together very nicely. A couple of my carving buddies are buying their own after seeing mine.
