I got this for someone in dental school, and she said it’s just like the ones they use in class. She loved it and was surprisingly appreciative of the little screwdriver that comes with it. Even future dentists get excited about tiny tools. A solid buy for dental students!

This is a great tool for use in the classroom or to explain a procedure to a patient. The model is very realistic - even if it represents the "perfect" situation. Each tooth can be removed to further explain implants, dentures, bridges, etc. Don't look for a "wind up" key as this is not a toy but rather a well made professional model for educational purposes.

This model of the human gums and teeth hinges on a sturdy metal arm, which can be locked in the closed position, or unlocked to allow the "jaw" to open. A small screwdriver is provided to allow you to remove the teeth individually, allowing one to examine interdental anatomy. I have a little concern about the screw heads stripping out with repeated cycles of removal and replacement of teeth, as they seemed to me to be slightly softer than a hard steel screw. With regard to this concern, only time would tell. The gums are a softer, more yielding material, and the teeth are rather blindingly white. I think it's definitely a useful product for students learning anatomy and dental teeth numbering, as well as techniques like damming. While one can learn from books or screens, there's nothing like actually holding something physical in your hand and examining it yourself, which is why I think this a useful learning tool for students which is priced affordably. This will help me to visualize what I'm in for, I was hoping fo it to aid in the repair of a crown I have. But it seems to be on the small side and would have to be scaled up a bit. I will be able to use it, but just as a visual aid. After I'm done getting the implants I'm going to build an animatronic head that can actually bite things.

This set of teeth is exactly what I was wanting. The gums feel soft and pliable and the teeth look and feel very real. It is a very durable set. To remove the teeth you will need to unscrew the screw at the top of the model, and then they pop out just fine, though it does take a little effort, like the real deal. It is great for practicing for aspiring dentists or dental assistants. This is a high-quality set of teeth that I expect will last indefinitely. I highly recommend this set!

Normally, this is for someone studying to work in a dentists office. That's not why I ordered it, however.I like to get models of things that would be hard to experience tactically otherwise. I also like to remake things. The model is built really well. It opens and holds whatever position I've put it into easily and firmly. I have taken out and screwed back in several of the teeth. As I was messing with it, my adult daughter came over and started to mess with it, too. She is still messing around with it.The elements that are intriguing are how the teeth fit into the gums, and the idea of being able to practice something as simple as flossing and seeing how it works on these teeth. It's impossible to see our own teeth in this same way.Anyhow, definitely glad I ordered it. And, would recommend it to anyone needing a model like this for practicing on.
