We are an oral & maxillofacial surgery office. I bought this mannequin because I wanted to create a formal surgery training demonstration that we could repeat frequently. I use the mannequin for all new hires and existing staff. New hires are trained on it.Once a month everyone goes through a surgery simulation where we discuss how to position bite blocks and gauze, how to use the suction, and how to support the patient's mandible and head. We demonstrate things like how to protect the patient's lips and soft tissue from pinching and how to position the head for easier access.The mannequin feels sturdy, is easy to adjust, and has straps to hold it in place.Every staff member has said they like using the mannequin, even our seasoned employees.
