I have a 300 gallon pond with goldfish an koi. This year has been particularly bad for algae growth. I've drained and replaced all the water twice and still can't maintain more than 2 inch depth visibility. I read barley fixes it, but it didn't make a dent. I tried algaefix, didn't touch it. I read a uv light is effective, but can harm the ecosystem if used long term, so I waited all year before deciding to order this pump. One week later and I can see 3 feet down. Not wanting to disrupt the ecosystem too badly, I have it on a timer now to run 2 hrs every evening. If it starts falling behind, I can adjust the duration.It has several filter elements that are all pretty easy to pull out for cleaning. The output has two ports with individual valves that allow for fountain, feature, or both. Overall, I'm quite impressed.

I bought this in desperation to clear my pond of particulates that I could see in the water. Within 24 hours of installing it in the pond the water was crystal clear ! Worth every cent ! My pond has never looked better !

This product is amazing. As a rookie, I had a filter, aerators and pumps for running the filter for my fish ponds. I have 2 ponds connected by a downward stream. The filter I originally bought wasn't horrible, but the sponges rubbed against the rotator and did not hold up. They were decent, but no match for this one.This filter needs no pump and also provides plenty of aeration. If you use the fountains, they will tell you when the filter needs cleaned. My ponds have never been so clean and clear. Definitely would recommend this product. Love it!

Purchased this pump 2 months ago for a 120 gallon garden pond with 5 large 7-10 inch gold fishes, preexisting built-in pond pump failed that caused short on electricity constantly. This pump works very well since.

I have had other fish pumps but, this is by far the best one yet. East to clean and durable. Easy to assemble. Highly recommend.

I have 2 Indian Runner Ducks. I got them a 300 gallon stock tank as a pool in their kennel. The filters I was using were not very strong. My girlfriend has a stock tank fish pond and uses this product. She recommended it. It works AWESOME! I had some reservations at first, but it really does the trick. Now, due to the amount of duck poop, as they like to sleep in the pond as well, it does need regular cleaning, more than if used with fish I would image. So in my case, once per week is about right. Pretty easy to clean. If I wait 2 weeks, well then it's a lot of muck and poop to clean out.It really does help keep the water clean. I have some other issues to still work on, regarding tannins in the water, and I do have all the require accoutrements, biological additives, chlorine nullifier, gravel and pottery shards in the bottom, etc. So I'm working on that, but that's just a light "beer" coloration. The water is generally clean and muck free for the most part, so I'm very happy with it.In my girlfriend's fish pond, with plenty of little fish (goldfish, arrow fish), her water is truly crystal clear, so it really is an awesome pump and filer.

I got this pump/filter for my backyard pond and have been using it for a couple of months. I did a lot of research prior to making this purchase. The reviews are spot on, it is super easy to clean and has kept my pond crystal clear. It comes with two different water heads, one for a smooth look, and the other has more of a traditional fountain spray. My pond is pretty small so I ended up taking the top off and not using either. I’ve only had to clean it once and simply sprayed off the sponge like filter. I highly recommend this pump not only for how effective it is and easy to clean but also for the price point.
