Easy to put together but very tight ! Suggest some lubrication when using , also makes easier to pull apart and store .

HAVING A DAYSAILER AND ANCHORING IN AN AREA WHERE OTHER BOATS ANCHOR THIS IS A MUST. I SET MY ANCHOR AND IF SOMEONE RUNS INTO MY ANCHOR RHODE THAT'S ON THEM.AS FOR THE PRODUCT. IT'S A NICE PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY. I WON'T USE THIS ALL THE TIME SO I LIKE THE WAY IT FOLDS. IT'S STURDY ENOUGH TO GET THE JOB DONE. I'D RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT TO A FRIEND.

Simple but sturdy & effective design. Stores flat. There is a radial slot in each flat half. The 2 halves are mated perpendicularly by sliding each half into the slot of the other, & the resulting structure has the silhouette of a ball. The 2 halves are held together by the tension of the suspending cords (not included).

The plastic is robust and will definitely last a long time. Unfortunately the slots in the discs are too small so you can only get the the two discs about 1/2 into each other before it binds up. Takes a hammer to get the discs fully together, and then it is impossible to separate them again without a hammer. Going to cut some of the plastic away in the hope it slides more easily. The design of the unit is fine, this is a fit issue, but disappointing.

Larger shape when put together . Stores flat saving space in the cockpit lockers. Heavier construction will take lots of abuse. Important boat equipment to have when anchored in non designated areas.

Stores easily behind some books on the shelf of my boat. I do recommend tying a leash from the halyard to the bottom shackle and line to the deck. The plastic is tough, but halyard retrieval is a pain if the plastic gives way.

Assembly is a snap. Very sturdy product. Not many folks use these but you’re supposed to have it hoisted if you’re anchored so it’s obvious in the daytime to other boaters that you are on the hook.
