Nice book, well organized, easy to use, and has a nice sturdy binding. I wish there was a bit more room for more detailed instruction and I would have loved it to be slightly bigger. The journal size is great but for detailed step heavy recipes it's a bit hard to fit everything in. Overall a good value though.

This recipe book is beautiful and efficient. I've recently started dabbling in sourdough and as a result, I have recipes scattered across four different apps, screenshots, you name it. It's impossible to keep up with or find what I'm looking for. I ordered this so my recipes are all in one place. I've found I have more than enough space to write my recipes down on these pages. The paper is thick enough that my pen doesn't bleed through (I use a marker-like fine liner that I also use for my planner). I especially love that there's a table of contents to fill in so you can easily find your recipes without flipping through the whole book. You also have bookmark ribbons in the spine, so if you're simultaneously working on two different recipes, you can keep them marked and flip back and forth as needed. I love that this has made it so much easier for me to organize my recipes, cut out all the keyword fluff, not need to charge my iPad enough to stay on while I'm cooking, and I love knowing that one day my children or grandchildren will be able to just as easily make the same things I'm making even when all these social media apps are long gone.

Love this Recipe book, it has plenty of room to write ingredients, cooking/prep instructions even an area for random notes about the recipe. Also the table of contents section was a great idea.

The &And Per Se Recipe Book is a truly lovely journal. Take it from me, a legitimate paper and pen snob, you will be delighted with the 100 gsm thick, ivory paper as it receives your pencil or ink with ease. The book is so thoughtfully crafted--you can tell that And Per Se is in the journal business. This is an A5 size, 5.83 x 8.27 inches, roughly a half sheet of US letter size paper folded on its short width. The careful attention is not something I am used to seeing in recipe books, far more the kind of thing one finds in higher end journals. Pen loop, elastic closure, interior back envelope pocket, and two contrasting bookmarks. I chose the Pale Apricot colorway, and it is soft and pretty, with surprising depth for so light a color. The cover is rigid, and lined in a textured fabric, and if you look up close you find there are various colors "knit" together to achieve the look. The interior has just what is helpful for its intended use, without anything extraneous. Common conversion units for kitchen use, a four page index, numbered recipe pages, and a "belongs to" page to hold your contact information should it get lost. The paper is not just thick, it is pen and pencil friendly. You can see on the test page pictured here that there is minimal ghosting, and slight bleedthrough only with the ultrafine Sharpie marker. I expect it will hold off the inevitable (at least for me) tomato sauce, egg, and olive oil stains better than most recipe books! The &And Per Se budget journal first caught my attention, and it is equally well-made, intelligently designed, and a delight to use. I am so pleased ot have an archive for my random loose recipes and a sturdy journal to keep close to hand for when I need them. This would make a lovely gift for a cook or to hold those precious family recipes that deserve more care than an app on your phone.I give this $And Per Se recipe journal my highest recommendation to anyone looking to up their recipe keeping game. And I will already browsing the &And Per Se store for more journals. Should additional testing reveal defects in the journal, I will update this review.

This CookBook Journal in Pale Apricot is an absolute gem for anyone who cherishes their recipes. From the moment you hold it, you can tell it's a quality piece designed with both functionality and style in mind. The hardcover is wrapped in a beautiful linen-type material that feels lovely to the touch. The pale apricot hue is soft and inviting, and the subtle design is perfectly understated, making it an elegant addition to any kitchen. It avoids the often overly-cutesy or cluttered designs found in many recipe books, opting for a refined and timeless aesthetic.Inside, the pages are thoughtfully laid out, providing ample space to record all the necessary details of your treasured recipes. There are dedicated sections for ingredients, instructions, cooking times, and notes, ensuring that you can document your culinary creations with precision. The paper quality is excellent, smooth and sturdy, allowing for easy writing without bleed-through.The compact size (5.7 x 8 inches) is ideal for keeping on a kitchen counter or bookshelf without taking up too much space. It's perfectly portable, too, allowing you to bring it along to cooking classes or share recipes with friends and family. But what truly sets this cookbook journal apart is its overall aesthetic.
