The three metal plates in the product description picture matched my old door parts whose flanges broke in a wind gust that threw open the door. What I received were two plates. The old design mounted a slotted plate on the door jamb on which the traingular piece slips into. That flange assmbly was the critical failure point that snapped with the torque from the wind gust. What I received was only the the triangular plate (the same as old) that mounts directly to the jamb with 4 screws and the flat piece with hole settings (mounted on the door).. Of course, the screws on the bottom were impossible to reach when the triangle piece is mounted low on the door jamb so I could only fasten the piece with 3 ot the 4 long screws.I suppose I did not need any written instructions, and there were none.The metal triangle piece showed rust already, which made me wonder how that could happen if this was new. I think the price should have been less than $5 instead of $25 I (inflation??) for the two little plates and a few screws,However, that said, I figured out how to use what was sent and the door opens and closes as it should.

This part worked as a replacement for the same part for an Andersen screen door. Unscrewed old one nd screwed in new one. Strong winds broke the old one.

My door closer bracket broke off within 3 months of installing the new storm door, ordered this replacement, and it worked just great, color matched my doors color as well. Very happy about it!Don't know why Andersen would make such type of door closer brackets and that too with poor quality material. Want to make money off of parts as well?I'm very satisfied with the replacement order, thank you!
