Had a minor issue. Emailed company and they sent a replacement part ASAP. Customer service is important when deciding from which company to buy.

I had some problems setting up but was able to troubleshoot with Dell my computer service.Found out the problem was the usb cord didn't work. Thankfully I had another device cord that worked in its place. The smaller lens microscope works and I am having problems with the three combo lenses not being able to focus properly. Will try again tomorrow. The smaller lens focuses well. It is now paired with my computer. I can take pics with my computer and see the larger image making it a handy microscope. The build quality is not the greatest. For light adult use.The cords are flimsy. The microscope is light. The nobs are easy to turn. Use the remote rather than push the buttons on the monitor as it may not last otherwise.I did contact Andostar for help they did respond quickly. They couldn't help with the problem as it was the cord not software.

was quite surprised how good the picture quality is with the monitor it comes with. and the ease of hooking up to a computer monitor or TV it you want a bigger view. With the interchangeable lenses you go from looking at bugs to looking at cells. can't be beat for the price

This microscope has been a game-changer for inspecting electronics and solder joints. The clarity and precision are truly impressive, allowing me to see even the tiniest details effortlessly. The included metal stand is solid and minimizes any shaking, which is especially helpful when working at higher magnifications.I love how easy it is to switch between lenses depending on the task—whether I’m focusing on a broad view or zooming in on intricate connections, this tool delivers every time. The lighting options are also well thought out, providing bright, adjustable illumination exactly where it’s needed. The setup was straightforward, and the remote control adds a level of convenience I didn’t know I needed. Whether you’re a professional or hobbyist, this microscope is worth every penny for its performance and features. Highly recommended for anyone working with electronics or needing detailed inspection capabilities!

It looks more likely to be upscaled 1080p. 1080 would honestly be fine; a shame they decide to fib about the spec (apparently). Otherwise, this is a pretty good microscope, and I’d give it a better rating if it was more honest about its video quality.

The Andonstar AD266S digital microscope comes with multiple lenses with different magnification and lighting arrangement. Hence it can be used for a variety of purposes including viewing details of coins and other smaller objects, precision assembly under magnification, and use as a microscope for looking at and photographing microscopic objects such as cells, tissues, bacteria etc.Assembly of the microscope took a little time as most of the parts come disassembled and have to be put together. The accompanying manual is somewhat helpful but can be surely written with better and more detailed instructions. The digital microscope once put together performs quite admirably despite its cheaper looking parts. The accompanying slides for viewing cells and insect parts are quite good and cleanly done and very well stained. The multiple lighting options for precision work under magnification or direct lighting for the microscope all worked very well. The quality of the illumination so vital for such work is more than adequate given the price point is the microscope. The best part of the scope is the ability to take photographs and videos with the remote. The lcd screen of the microscope is bright and has good resolution and renders very nicely on the screen. The pictures (and videos) are stored in the micro SD card and a 32GB card is supplied. You can easily configure the settings for resolution, ISO, brightness etc using the remote. It is fairly easy to get the focus right by moving the platform up out down. Note that it is best to lower the platform and then change the objective lenses. Changing the objective when using it as a microscope have to be done gently as rotating the objective turret does tend to shake the entire scope since the frame of the scope is plastic and fairly light in weight.Overall I am very impressed that Andonstar could come up with such a versatile microscope within its current price point. While it does feel flimsy, it most certainly gets the job done. I have used professional and very expensive microscopes during my university research and while this microscope will not stand up to that level of use and longevity, the quality of the pictures coming out of this scope at its current price point is certainly worthy of strong consideration for acquisition by schools and individuals.
