This is my 4th Anran camera and they are a great value. I have a few in my back yard to keep an eye on my dogs as well as one out front for security. They have a lot of options for alarm and video settings, and I love that it has a microphone as well. They are easy to use and set up, and if you don't have an SD card the monthly cloud storage is super affordable! Also wonderful customer service if you need to contact them for anything.

UPDATE: I am updating my review of this product simply because there was no issues being sent a replacement. I have received the replacement but have not installed the camera yet. If I find any issues, I will update the review again. Customer service responded in a decent amount of time with contacting me about sending a replacement camera. Although their process is a bit unorthodox, they did provide a replacement.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I bought this camera to add to my other 3 Anran cameras and the installation and video quality is really good (although it takes a long time to actually connect to the device to watch a recorded video or live feed). My issue with the product is that it was delivered and installed on January 11, 2025....it is January 25, 2025 and the mount is broken. Last night I heard a really loud bang and when I went out to investigate I saw the camera hanging by the charging cable connected to the solar panel. The little grooves on the mounting plate apparently snapped and the camera fell. So far, the camera is still working (good build quality on that) but now, I have no way to mount the camera. I'm considering switching brands altogether because although I like the quality of the product, there are two things I dislike:1. There is no support for Apple Home Kit2. By the time the video feed comes up on my iPhone, all the action is over (it takes waaaayyyy too long).

Je possède déjà 4 caméra différentes solaires Anran … j’en suis très content pour surveiller ma seconde résidence….par ailleurs je viens d’acheter pour 120 euros une unité qui fournit du courant à mon routeur wifi 4G en cas de panne électrique pendant 3 h … donc je vois tout ce qui pourrait se passer …

Fácil de instalar, app completa y sencilla de manejar, visión nítida, visión nocturna a todo color, abarca perfectamente todos los ángulos de la zona a vigilar gracias a su rotación e inclinación (la cual se puede manejar desde la aplicación), es resistente frente a lluvias, nevadas, altas y bajas temperaturas, polvo y viento, la batería dura muchísimo tiempo... hasta ahora la mejor cámara solar de vigilancia que he encontrado, la recomiendo sin lugar a dudas.Algunas de las características que me han sorprendido (hay más y no menos importantes):Fácil instalación:Primero usar el teléfono para probar la calidad de la señal Wifi en el lugar donde queremos instalar la cámara. Il prodotto è di ottima qualità. Facile da montare e configurare. Lavora molto bene con il mio iPhone, invia le notifiche ogni volta che rileva un movimento (facile e veloce da disabilitare nel caso siate voi in giardino per evitare continue notifiche). L’immagine che trasmette e’ pulita e chiara anche di notte. Ho apprezzato il fatto che di notte si accendono le luci al passaggio di persone. Inoltre avendo Alexa posso vedere le immagini sul dispositivo. Acquisto consigliato.

My grandparents wanted this camera, it is good, but they call me a lot when the notifications just stop, or when the video recording does not play, even when the card is new and only used 1G out of 16, The camera itself is awesome, but the app needs work, it is slow to work with even with encryption off, it takes like 40sec to just view a video that is like 15sec long, sometimes it don't play at all but just shows a picture. The worst part is anyone can delete the camera, which will require you to redo the steps to get it running, it is soooo easy to delete the camera and change settings for someone who does not have the complete control profile. But other than the app, the camera itself is awesome, and clear with good view angles, good night vision, and easy installation, I just wish the app was better.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------/ / / Update, Feb 26, 2024///: / / /The camera itself is still good, and the base app still is not good, However, Their customer service is amazing with them giving me suggestions on what to do, they asked to change the SD card, this did not work, but I can see how it would help some people, then they ask me to get the (Cloud Edge) app instead, this is soooo much better, it is faster and I can see my recording.Note, for my experience of using Cloud Edge these past months, it shows that this app is better, but it is still slow when getting the history when you are away, at least I can get it with this app, which is way better than before where I could not get anything, the main video works better as it is just faster with Cloud Edge, and my grandparents all agreed on that.Overall, if you are having connection problems, check the SD card, try the Cloud Edge app, or call customer support to get your device checked for free. We are more happy with the Cloud Edge app, so we will rate this better due to the amazing help from Anran to fix the issue.

Edit:After more time has passed, I'm increasing my rating. this thing is a solid camera option at a reasonable price. I adjusted some settings and the motion detection seems to be working well now. We have a lot of wildlife, including deer, that are on the property every night. It's yet to trigger for animals or cars, so seems like the humanoid detection works well. It has triggered for a hanging planter I have near the camera when it gets windy and the planter swings into the area. In fairness, it is a round planter that could resemble a head shape, so no really complaint there. I could just move the planter but it's rare that it triggers from it. The wind has to really be strong.**** Original belowI've only had the camera up for a couple of days. Will modify the review if any changes are noted over time.The camera came well packaged and with nice installation guide stickers that were very helpful making it much easier to install. Set up was fairly easy although I had some trouble getting the camera to read the QR code on my Galaxy ZFold 3 with the screen open. I had to close the large display and it read it nearly instantly from the small display. Setting it up took a little longer than actually hanging the camera and the solar panel. The power and reset buttons near the micro SD card slot are marked as to what they are, but hard to see which is which. I had to refer the the picture on the user manual as I just couldn't make out the tiny white on white markings. If you have good vision, maybe that won't be an issue.The picture quality is very clear, even at night without the led lights or other outside lights on. My only complaint is motion detection so far seems a bit hit or miss. It spotted me fine leaving my house, but not when I came home. I do walk toward the camera from where I park, which the manual indicates it won't pick up, but eventually I turn and I'm at an angle to the camera. It doesnt always pick up that movement, unfortunately. That's the likely pathway of whatever serial killer would be coming to my house. However, there's no other angle I could place the camera and still pick up that area.So far, no animals or cars have been picked up by the motion detector, which is a pro and a con. It's a pro because with all the creatures around me, notifications would go off all the time. It's a con because I also want to see the cute animals like hogs and coyotes (and actual cute animals) that often come around. I wish there was a setting to record motion but only notify if a "humanoid" is detected.So far, the battery has been impressive and the included solar panel seems to charge it right back up in the morning. No complaints there. I'm in a rural area, so there aren't a lot of triggers which may prolong that battery life compared to other users. That said, since it's a new device, we've been checking the live view a lot and such.It was also fairly easy to connect to my Google home environment and share the camera with others in my household. For some reason though, I had to reset my password as it kept saying my credentials were wrong. This was immediately following setting up my account and logging in fine through the CloudEdge app. Not a big deal, but caused a bit of WTF during set up.Cloud storage is very affordable for this device starting at about $2.99/mo. for the lowest plan at the time of this posting. A full year of 7 day overwriting cloud storage is only $50 if paid for a full year. You are not required to use for storage though. The camera did have a micro SD slot (supporting up to 128GB card, only).As mentioned, I do wish there were different motion detection features. I'd rate this 5 stars if I were more confident in the motion detection. I'm going to try turning the sensitivity up from the default for a while and see how that goes.
