I have the barkiest dog (Australian shepherd) in the world (probably not but it seems like it). He’s very sensitive to sounds and protective of his house, so he barks a lot. I was skeptical about this little box being able to help, but needed to give it a shot. Surprisingly enough, the first time he went out the back door when it was set up, he barked once, looked very surprised and unsure, and then didn’t bark again. Normally he barks for two minutes straight when going outside, but ever since this box came into his life it’s been silence.With that being said, he does still bark in the yard, and the box doesn’t seem to have any effect out there. Even if I’m holding it and he’s definitely in range. So I’m not sure what happened or what it did, but it has improved my life for sure!

Two dogs, zero results. I tried with my border collie who gets overly excited when someone is at the door. NO EFFECT on any of the 3 settings. She is about 30 pounds and is normally pretty chill, but she has her moments and this didn't help at all during those moments.Second dog, a 8mo mini Doodle puppy, about 20 lbs. He's also very relaxed normally but gets excited when someone comes home. Again, no effect. I tried the different frequencies, I tried different locations in the house, it just did not work for me.Maybe my dogs are immune, but from what I can tell its just not very effective.

We have a mini golden doodle that has severe anxiety whenever we or anyone leaves the house, comes into the house or even the mailman driving in front of our bay window. The barking is out of control and we have tried so many different things. Calming treats, CBD, bark collars...nothing works. So when I came across this device I was skeptical, but hopeful. Unfortunately, it really does not work for my dog. I will say that the barking may be a bit less intense and in shorter spurts now, but it did not help to actually stop or control it. I think I may just have a dog with very high anxiety, and he probably can sense the ultrasonic sound, but he just ignores it. I gave it 3 stars because there is a slight improvement, but it just did not live up to the product description in my case.

I’m not sure if my unit doesn’t work or…. When I charge it, the light comes on. When I turn to he knob to the frequencies, there’s no light. I got this device because my neighbor has a dog that is becoming a problem with its constant 24/7 barking. And since I started using this device 3 nights ago, he’s been barking even more. I’m not sure if it’s barking because the sound this device makes or if it even works. I wish my review was better, believe me, I do, I’m tired of this neighbor dog, but I have to be honest.

I cannot recommend this anti-barking device whatsoever. I gave it two stars because it does actually turn on and charge. However, it frequently will activate for no reason, especially when turning it on or off or changing the setting. This instantly alerted my dog to the device and she became scared of it. So instead of it activating when she barked and associating it with that undesired behavior she now is associating this little box with just being something scary.When I first was testing it out and observing all the functions I noticed that it would activate if you switched settings too quickly. I didn't think this was a deal killer, but when I noticed it activating for no reason later it became an even bigger issue. I tried changing the setting to a different frequency or intensity an it just made it worse because it kept activating. Mind you there was no noise to speak of, and certainly no barking around it ever, so I can't even tell you if it will activate for actual barking. Do not get this!

I got this for future use and don't currently have a dog to test it on. I read that computer speakers don't usually reproduce barks well enough to trigger these devices, and it's true, it only activates when I bark at it.Although one review said they left this device in the rain, the manual explicitly says it isn't designed for rain. It also says the effective range is 30 feet with a battery life of 30 days.I don't like that this charges via micro USB instead of USB-C or that its ultrasonic speaker is only 5/8" diameter. My volt meter shows that the battery is always powering the circuit board, even with the knob set to off, so this can't be stored long term without the battery becoming impossible to recharge after a few months,. At least it was easy to remove four screws and disconnect the battery, which should preserve it in storage for a few years or more if stored near full charge.Although I can't directly test this on a dog, based on the small speaker and other poor reviews, this doesn't seem likely to be effective, especially over longer distances. That, plus the micro USB instead of USB-C charging drops my rating to 3 stars.

It seems to only work inside the house? Which isn't really why I wanted it. If I put it outside, where my pup does most of her barking at kids walking by the house, she doesn't seem to notice it. It did stop her inside the house when I was testing it, but she really just did that questioning head-tilt that dogs do, and I think only stopped barking more out of curiousity than out of any association with "barking bad". I don't know, I don't think I'd buy it again.

I absolutely love this item! One of the things I appreciate the most about this product is that it delivers exactly as described - and most important: the dogs love these!! Been using it for about 2 weeks so far and truly seeing a reduction in the backyard barking!! Plus - it is truly excellent quality! This brand is THE BEST!!!
