This mat turned out a lot smaller than it looked in photos, my fault for not looking at the measurements. The mat was a really great price and is big enough for what I needed it for. I like the little sections in it, as sometimes the metal rolls and it catches it so it doesn't fall off the mat. I will most likely order a larger size in the future.

If you like to take things apart, do repairs, or do anything that has small components, this mat is essential. It is flexible enough to store easily, holds its shape so you can use the small compartments for organizing, and cleans easily for messy projects. The mat seems to be durable even when I pull on the edges and smack it with a hammer a few times. I have washed, dried, and abused this mat quite a bit, and it holds up.There are so many cool features built into this design, such as the screw area to separate them for easy tracking and the ruler that is to scale. The magnetic area with the little screwdriver holes makes this great for small electronics like computer repair, but I would love to get another one for jewelry making. The mat supports the tools standing up without tilting. Surprisingly, the measurements are easy to read for precision. The compartment storage space and workspace are well-defined and deep to maintain organization. Being so flexible I was concerned it would collapse and everything would get mixed up,

I needed a large mat for general electrical work and soldering etc. This mat is the largest one that I have come across. It arrived folded, which left a little smooth crease that has yet to lay flat after 2 weeks. So, this is definitely a mat that you want to keep in a fixed location and not try to stow it away; unless it is laying flat in the process. It has a decent magnet for small screws etc. and high walled sections to prevent components from rolling off the mat or mixing with the "neighbor" components in the work area. Great value and design!

Was a little worried when I received this because it comes folded up, but it ended up flattening out ok. This is super handy when working on electronics or repairs of items with lots of parts. Great to use with soldering also as you can't burn it. Nice color and looks good on my work bench.

When this arrived folded I was concerned that it would never lay flat. Within an hour it was laying completely flat without any wrinkles on my workbench. The material is nice and thick. There are many areas to hold small parts in labeled bins or on magnetic areas. Great for keeping track of many small parts and using a log to identify where each piece came from during disassembly.

Magnetic Repair Work Mat Heat Resistant Large Silicone Soldering Mat Expand Work Area for Soldering, Electronics, Computer Repair 17.7 * 11.8''I am using this for watch repairs and also plan on using it for electronics repairs when I have some more of that type of work here. It’s a nice big mat, soft and sturdy silicone makes for a nice work surface and protects delicate parts and my polished watch surfaces from scratching. I like that it has lots of pocket spaces to keep small parts organized. I thought the 3 pockets with lids would be useful. I had planned on keeping small parts in them all of the time, but when I picked up the mat to put it away the lids flew open. I tried a heat gun to see if I could fix that problem, but it made no difference. I really like it anyway, I just probably wouldn’t order another one with the lidded pockets. I may just cut off the lids.

This DOCOLL 17.7" x 11.8'' Silicone Soldering Mat is well made and is good quality. It has 3 magnetic areas for to catch iron containing parts. The sections are nicely molded with a very good finish. This would have gotten 5 stars because it is a great addition to the soldering area of my bench. BUT the company was not careful enough to use the correct photograph of the product in the Amazon ad. You don't know what configuration you will get. I actually like the one that I got better than the one pictured in the ad
