This is one excellent FM and bluetooth receiver in my opinion! It is well made and high quality throughout, and both the radio and Bluetooth reception are very good too. It is simple to operate, and I like that an IR remote was included. I also like that there are several connections for analog and digital audio output, and the audio quality is top notch. So far, I am very pleased with this unit's performance and therefore highly recommend it!

The actual nature and purpose of this device is a bit of a mystery based on a brief reading of the product description and even the user’s manual: it's FM radio for The Streaming Generation. It is a very useful FM stereo broadcast tuner covering the full 88 through 108 MHz frequency band. It outputs to an analog line level stereo pair of RCA sockets to connect to an amplifier or powered speakers, or to a digital fibre or copper coax interface. It can also deliver its signal through Bluetooth if you like. It provides a handy alternative to Internet streaming or playing digital music files. One great use is playing local FM stations in the event that the Internet connection is down.It has an unusual form factor: a wedge shape with an angled front panel and a top that slopes to the rear. It is quite good looking for a small audio device, all black, with minimal front controls. Using the provided remote control is pretty much a must for entering station numbers and easier use of it in general. The included antenna is quite convenient to use. The base is magnetic and stuck strongly to one of my stereo components. The tall extending whip antenna screws into that. The signal sensitivity is pretty good, but could be better. When I run auto scanning it only finds 17 to 19 strong stations in my large metropolitan city, but in fact almost all the station assignments are in use here. The sound is excellent as long as the station reception is strong and solid. Stereo separation and fidelity is great. My complaints:- I can’t stack any devices on top of it because of the sloping top.- It doesn’t come with a USB power brick, or AAA batteries for the remote. My Wish list:- I wish the currently playing FM frequency was displayed in a large font and the volume was in a smaller font. These two values should be simply swapped on the display.- I wish the RDS data station ID and song was displayed.- I wish it could also tune in the AM broadcast band (530-1700 kHz)

I hooked this up to my RCA soundbar via the optical cable and it works great. It allows Bluetooth connections and FM. It doesn't have AM radio but in Canada that's not used for radio broadcasts anymore so that's not an issue. The user's manual does lose a bit in translation but it's fairly easy to set up and use.Connections in the back are: USB C power in, Bluetooth antenna, optical audio out, FM antenna, coaxial output and RCA line out.The remote works well - I only tested it up to 20 feet but that's plenty of distance for me. The remote comes with two AAA batteries.Other items included are a Bluetooth antenna, USB C power cable (power brick not included), an optical cable and a mast antenna with a magnetic base.Considering all it does in a tiny package, I'll probably set it up in our basement since space is limited in the family room. The only thing I can't sort out is FM station memory. I've contacted support and am waiting to hear back on that.
