Plug in powered speakers and grab the remote and sit down and enjoy much better sound. Great for TV's with the optical output. Very easy to set up!

Very pleased with the sound from this little box. I use it with the fiber optic output from the TV for sound and also the Bluetooth. It’s become the center of my audio system.

I was not happy with this thing for a while, but I kept pushing and it finally straightened out... alittle.I use this to transmit audio from my TV to my Bluetooth earbuds.Here were my problems and their solutions:1. Connection: I couldn't get my earbuds to connect. - Hold down the "Mode" button to put the device in transmit mode. The blue light will turn red. The device will then start looking to connect to your other bluetooth devices (such as earbuds). Make sure your earbuds are in pairing mode during this time. They will automatically connect to one another.2. Static Noise: All I heard was static when connected.- Place your TV audio settings to PCM output mode. I used the optical cable.3. Volume Control: I could not control the volume of the audio with the tv remove nor the device volume nob.- Unresolved. I have no way to control the volume of audio in my earbuds.4. Audio Delay: There is a pretty significant audio delay using the bluetooth transmit feature.- The audio delay slowly corrects itself after about 5 minutes of use.* 4 stars. It was pretty annoying to play around with just to get it to work with no volume control. I would not buy again, but I am not replacing it unless the volume issue becomes unbearable.

My TV only has an optical output for sound so I bought this converter to run streamed video through my home amplifier and speakers.After figuring out the TV settings, it works great!At first I couldn't get it to work, then I switched the output setting from 'Dolby' to 'PWM'.I haven't tried the other options yet. The remote Mute and Volume features work well too, as once you run the optical output you lose the volume control on the TV remote.

It works great in terms of converting optical signal to the Aux output (make sure to change audio output format to PCM in TV settings), and remote works great too. My TV is not at a huge distance so not sure if for a longer range it causes issues.Limitations: First, lights in front of the device are too bright. You obviously would want to keep the converter pointed towards you so you can use the remote but lights (blue LEDs) are bothersome.Second, device would not stay on if you power using the TV usb port. I worked around by using an external power adapter - it doesn’t come with one.Third & Fourth - Auto power off due to inactivity & Power On doesn’t work with remote. If you are not playing anything it would automatically turn off within a few mins and DOES NOT turn on with remote. This is so weird since you can turn it off with remote but cannot turn it back on. You have to plug it out and back in, or use the power/volume knob to turn off and on for it to work. This for me is a dealbreaker.Otherwise device works great, audio quality is great and it does the job.

I've been really impressed with this DAC and Bluetooth receiver so far.
