  • Set device such as HD TV, TV BOX, or game console into PCM audio before using. NOT support DTS Dolby ac-3 and other 5.1ch digital audio. PCM Setting Path: Device homepage → system setting → image and sound → sound setting → digital audio output → PCM

  • 1) Replace the RCA audio cable with a shielded cable.

    2) Check if the RCA audio cable is fully connected.

    3) The Volume is too loud and there is a noise( distortion) phenomenon.

  • 1) Check whether the optical cable pin let out the red light normally after it is connected to the input device (such as HDTV),and whether the optical connector is connected to the optical socket normally.

    2) Try replacing a optical cable to connect.

  • TV is connected to the sound system through the optical interface, so the volume button on the remote control cannot be directly used to adjust the output volume of the TV optical. (If the TV supports this feature which depends on the TV itself )

I'm using this to convert the digital optical audio out on my new TV to old fashioned rca audio out to hook up wireless headphones. I've only had it about a week, but so far it works perfectly. I didn't need the volume control, so I just left it turned up and it works great. I'm usually skeptical of the quality of products sold by third party sellers on Amazon, but this product seems well constructed and as long as it holds up I'll be very happy with the purchase.

Ran Optical cable to my nightstand...and use this to convert it and use an analog headset. (a.k.a. "marriage saver.") Why? Absolutely NO lipsync issues!!! (Which is what you get with Bluetooth!!!) This was a replacement for my old one and is working beautifully. The sound is terrific. The volume adjustment is crucial and works flawlessly. FIVE stars!

Collegato alla TV è perfetto. Ottima sincronia audio.

A very well constructed unit that so far has performed as advertised when connected between my 55" Samsung tv and my vintage Pioneer A/V Receiver and which allows me to hear crystal clear audio from my movies from my external JBL floor mounted speakers. I consider this converter to be an exceptional value for money, however my one dislike is the distracting overly bright power light, which in my opinion could be much dimmer and server the same purpose.

I bought this thing to connect my xbox one to the aux stereo in my RV. The first time I used it, it worked ok. but the second and subsequent times I have tried to use the converter, it just makes a terrible whining sound over my speakers. When I touch the device, to un-plug it, it feels like it's going to catch on fire!Update: I received a replacement from the manufacturer which has been working for a couple months now so I have updated my review score.

Bought a new Samsung 4K TV just to find out that they did away with all type of analog sound outputs and has no bluetooth capability... that was a problem for me especially that I wanted to use it with my SONY wireless RF headphones bought at the same time. These use 3.5mm audio jack. So had to buy a converter to accept the digital optical output from my TV and convert to a analog to plug in the headset. A lot of similar products are on offer, I opted for the Neoteck DAC... So far, extremely satisfied! Got it in no time, didn't have to buy anything extra, comes with the optical cable which I plugged together with he usb power cable to the TV, plugged the 3.5mm headset jack to the DAC, et voila... working perfectly, no interference, strange noises or anything like that.In short, you need it? I recommend it!

I assume that the toslink cable is cheap and not very well made, thus I had to put it in just the right position within the box for the sound to work. Worked for about 3 months and then stopped working. Too late to return. I should have returned it right after receiving it, but alas I thought that I could wing it. Bad decision. Now I'm not sure if I need a different (better quality) cable, or a different converter box. Ugh...

I was not sure how good this product would be because my local electronics chain store sells it for close to $65 a piece - and that box didn't come with any cables. This Neoteck converter is the perfect solution for converting our digital audio to analogue - we are using it for attaching a 3.5mm headphone jack to our Smart TV. The audio is high quality and the converter cables add a little bit of extra length. No problems using it and it definitely deserves the 5 stars.
