Tank arrived with a small dent, doesn't affect the usage. I added this to an under sink type system that comes with its own 2 gallon tank, but needed more water capacity. Added a "tee" fitting between the two tanks and boom, extra water! I didn't have any taste or odor from the tank, so that's a bonus. Functions perfectly for its purpose. I'm using it "upside down" in the provided stand with no ill effects, mainly because the fitting required to add my push to fit tubing would be a little close if it were on the bottom. If you were replacing another tank with this one, you'd have zero issues installing it in a pre-assembled system.

Awesome upgrade, plenty of RO water ready to go. Will easily fill a couple gallons. Check tank pressure before filling up, I set mine to 10 psi when completely empty. I did have to buy the fitting to go to 1/4” water line. I did install mine with the valve on top and have had no issues. I do recommend

I purchased the kit along with The APEC TANK-14 14 Gallon tank, the APEC Water Systems 3/8" Output Quicker Dispense Upgrade Kit, and (eventually) the APEC Water Systems Tank Ball Valve (3/4" NPTF, 1/4" Output). My purpose was to upgrade my existing system, the APEC Water Systems RO-90 Ultimate Series which I purchased in 2020.Overall I recommend the system, but I did have a couple issues, one my fault, and one Amazon's.So first the issue that was my fault. I originally purchased just the tank and the upgrade kit. I didn't look close enough at the specs and didn't realize that the 14 Gallon tank has a 3/4" male NPT fitting where the smaller tanks have a 1/4" male fitting. The upgrade kit comes with a new valve with a 3/8" tube outlet (as opposed to the 1/4" tube outlet on the standard filter set) but a 1/4" female fitting to mount to the tank. As a result, you can't use the valve with the 14 gallon tank. I couldn't find a version of the kit that comes with 1/4" fitting to 3/4" fitting adapter. I had to purchase the valve for the tank separately to get the adapter, but it comes with a 1/4" tube outlet. I then took the valve off the adapter and used the valve from the upgrade kit to work with my tank. Very confusing, but bottom line is it would be nice if APEC offered a 3/8" upgrade kit that worked with the 14 gallon tank without having to buy other parts. The second issue, which is Amazon/APECs fault - the upgrade kit was supposed to come with a 3/8" to 1/4" tube adapter. This is needed to adapt to the 1/4" tube interface on the faucet. Instead it came with a 1/4" to 1/4" union. So I had to go to Lowe's and buy the adapter. One other note, the tank came with a dent in the corner. Not sure who's fault that is, but it does not seem to affect performance so I am living with it rather that navigate the return process. However, despite these issues, I'm pretty happy with the system. I was worried that stepping the tube diameter down to 1/4" at the faucet would impact the flow rate, but it seems to have little effect. The flow is good and I have plenty of volume. I'd recommend the system, just be make sure you have all the parts and be prepared to make a trip to the hardware store if needed.

The stand that came with it allowed me to put it on the floor next to my laundry-room sink. I like the fact that it has 3/4" ntp fitting. That made it easy to put a "T" connector. With a reducer, one end of the "T" goes to my RO filter. The other end goes to the faucet and distribution system in the crawlspace. I can fill the tank at the rate that the RO filter can produce. But, With a full tank, I have the flow of a 3/4" faucet!

Most RO systems come with 1-1/2 gallon bladder tanks, so you cannot quickly fill anything bigger than about a half gallon or so. This puppy lets you fill a jug, a big pot - lots of volume - before it’s flow rate drops off.

We have always struggled with water flow in our reverse osmosis system until we thought about getting a bigger tank. Now we can fill jugs of drinking water and never seem to run out.

You can run up or down valve, need to purchase shutoff valve separate-$40 extra. Currently getting x10.3 gal of RO with, City pressure supply of 60psi 1/4 line, 1000 p pump/90gal per day membrane and 1/4 line feed to tank x3ft away. Currently x6hr recovery @ 6-7lbs bladder pressure. We have high demand, fish tanks, cooking and drinking thus upgrade from a x4gal Apec tank. Very important to turn over total volume to prevent stagnate spots in tank so I drain completely every month. If you do not have a Permeate pump consider going to 3/8ths water line or want faster recovery on tank and allows your system to be more efficient with water. Delivery was crazy fast and no dents or damage. Stand is solid and can be used either end. Expensive=quality parts inside and out=years of service. Check psi in bladder in your location especially if you live above sea level like we are (2000ft). Bicycle pump only to x6-7psi max, be very careful doing this! Should have upgraded years ago. Would have gotten x5 stars-expensive!

I bought this tank to replace the one that came with my RO system six years ago that gave up the ghost (my system happens to be installed in my basement) and I took the opportunity to up-size from the original 3.2 gallon capacity normally sized for the typical under-the-sink install.Besides the added water storage, the tank provides for greater overall volume support and I was happy for the included stand to raise the tank off the concrete. The ball valve is a separate purchase so be sure to pick the correct sizing for your system. The ball valve that comes with the small tanks will not fit.My only nit is the tank is packaged to fit inside reinforced cardboard and the shipper was less than kind; thus I was welcomed to a dent in the side of the tank upon unboxing - not enough to return it - there's a bladder inside that holds the water - but a bit of foam protection would be better for residential delivery.More humorously the Apec label on the tank is upside down; thankfully my powers of observation and just enough common sense were strong enough to overcome the discrepancy and thus installed the tank with the valve pointing skyward. For anyone concerned with this DIY project - very little tooling was needed; especially if you have a crescent wrench and quick-connect valves. Was as easy as turning off the water supply to the RO system, relieve the water pressure by running the RO faucet, disconnect the old tank line; screw the correctly-sized ball valve on the Apec tank, reconnect the line; and resume the water supply... then wait a bit for the system to fill the new tank.I checked the air pressure before installing - was set at 8psi out of the box. After filling the tank - I'm getting really good flow at the dispensing RO faucet even when filling up a gallon-size water container.
