I recently had to start cutting one of my medications in half. I was using a sharp knife, which worked OK. I bought this pill cutter to use. It really didn't work that well with my really small pill. The knife actually worked better. I was bummed when I couldn't return it. It was my fault for not recognizing that fact.

Absolutely super cheap and works great. This is my second one in about 5 years! Bought a nice heavy duty one and that one worked like crap. Went back to this one quick!

The razor blade is not centered perfectly on mine - I don't know if all are the same or not. Because of this, I have to purposely shift the lid and purposefully line up the blade with the middle of the pill so it cuts evenly. A little more effort, but as long as I'm aware of it, it gets the job done. You get what you pay for, but decent enough for the price I paid.

The hinges are very loose and when you press to cut the upper and lower part tear out.Not practical at all

I saw someone said it broke on them, I can see how that could happen, you want to hold it on the groves on the side when cutting a pill. If you push it closed from the top you could possibly break it and get cut.

You get what you paid for. It cannot split or cut evenly. Either the other half is crushed or will not cut into correct half. I used a knife instead like I used to do. I thrown out in my window.
