  • Commonly used with Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing homes for Nurse-Call paging systems, Nursing Home pagers, Business Facilities, Restaurant pagers, Offices that have their own in-house paging transmitter.
  • Please note that these pagers are not compatible with the 900 mhz 1-way pagers that require a separate airtime plan.

The AP-700 is an industry-standard pager primarily used with nursecall systems on NB frequencies. It is widely used by assisted living and healthcare facilities as well as private individuals. The AP-700 replaces both the outgoing Apollo -A24 and -A25 series pagers and offers superior battery life and clearer, brighter displays. Its size is between the -24 and -25. Messaging service and phone number are NOT included with this purchase. If you do not already have service, you must contact a provider and check that service is available in the areas you need and that this pager meets their requirements. Though the AP-700 is not specifically intended for use with Wide Area Paging, it is often used as either original or replacement equipment. FEATURES: Small, beeper-style pager with belt clip. Beeps and/or vibrates. Four-line display with true alpha characters (that automatically switches between 2- and 4-lines depending on the message length). Large memory holds up to 28,672 characters. 16 memory slots, 10 sets full message. Works with most POCSAG transmitters. Uses one AAA Battery that lasts three to four months or longer. 4 beep alerts, 10 melody alerts, vibration sleep mode. 5 daily alarm sets. Low battery indicator. Automatic backlight. Automatic On/Off increases battery life. Size: 2.9"(l) x 2"(w) x .75"(h) (without holster). Weight: 1.75 oz. Pager cradle (if the clip breaks only the cradle needs replacement). Supports group paging. Programmable from its menu or with the optional programming tool.

I got this pager for use with DAPNET (Decentralized Amateur Paging Network), which mainly uses 439.9875 MHz, however, this pager does not work on that frequency. After extensive testing, I found out that the pager won't receive anything below 440.4 MHz, which is still technically within the 70cm amateur radio band in some countries (the USA, in my case), but the 440 range mostly has repeaters on it, which can make pager operations a bit difficult. Other than this issue, the pager seems to be a decent unit.

Bit dissapointed that when I opened the box after paying so much it did not include any of the things like the screen protector I expect to see with a new product. Was simple enough to get into the programming section but looks like there are much newer models that have larger screens and offer a lot more flexibility ( like GP2009N)

Tried this to replace the older classic Apollo A25. It is smaller and seems lighter than the A25, but it lacks an important feature. It no longer has a vibrate mode. This is a deal breaker for use were a loud pager tone is not particularly welcome. Very disappointing, but will not be buying more of these.
