EDIT… 1st one lasted about 18 months, the central locking mechanism went bad. Purchased again, let’s see if the 2nd one is any better.Interior door handle doesn’t open the door on the 1st or 2nd time.. for the amount of time taken to pull the door apart in the first place to replace the drivers door lock don’t even bother with this.

Locks and unlocks with fob, latches and unlatches fine but after car has been unlocked you have to pull handle, release then pull a second time to open door. Inside and outside. But it lets you in the car… so end result is the same I suppose

I checked everything prior to install, and it seemed to work fine, but I could not test locking and unlocking prior to install. After installing, when locking then unlocking the door, I have to pull the handle 2-5 times before the door will open, from either the inside or the outside. It has never opened on the first handle pull after unlocking. And sometimes the outside handle gets stuck in the position pulled away from the door, as if the spring is not pulling it back in, and I have to push the handle back into place.Based on the other reviews here, I'm getting a replacement from a more reliable manufacturer and getting this out of my door before it ends up permanently locked shut.

VW Golf GTI Mk5 front r/h door lock actuator. I got this knowing that my passenger side front door lock actuator was beginning to fail. Fail it did, so I installed it in under 2 and a half hours and it works perfectly. Saved a ton of money doing it myself with the help of a YouTube video.

The install was not bad but after several minutes of opening and closing. THE DOOR IS NOW LOCKED AND DOESN'T OPEN. Awful QC that has created a real headache

Install was easy and everything worked for a few weeks. Now my drivers door is permanently locked. I am unable to open the door from the inside nor outside. I can hear the lock actuator but it does not unlock.

Description is wrong so it didn't fit my 2011 Jetta.
