Last update:Apparently my wiring from the cab switch to the motor was delivering power per my testing. Unfortunately the wiring is unable to carry a load (i.e. wiper actually working) due to a fault of a possible many issues, not related to the motor. My apologies to the seller and wiper manufacturer.28 day update:The motor failed. Luckily it was within the 30 day return window.To diagnose the issue I checked the fuse for the wiper in the fuse panel and it was fine. Then I checked the connector at the wiper motor from the car. It showed 12V power to the wiper with the key "on". Then I cycled the speed adjustment and it showed power at the terminal. Then I checked the ground at the connector. All tested good= motor is bad. I can't recommend this product.This motor was a direct fit for my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Replacement was easy.1. Check the fuse in your fuse panel to make sure yours isn't blown for the rear wiper circuit before ordering this item.2. If the fuse is fine, disconnect your battery terminal before working on electronics.3. Remove the wiper arm held on by a nut.4. Remove the large nut on the exterior wiper shaft.5.. Remove the back hatch plastic cover held on by about 8-10 screws.6. Cut the plastic dust liner away from the interior wiper motor7. Disconnect the plastic wiring harness adapter from wiper motor8. Unbolt the two bolts from the wiper motor and remove the old motorInstalling the new motor is the reverse of this process.Make sure when you install the new motor that you cycle it before installing the wiper arm. This will index it so the wiper arm "resting location" in the correct position when turned off.Hope this helps!
