Thermostat stopped working, heated my tank to 105 degrees. Killed everything, plants, fish, and invertebrates. Horrible product for anyone. Out of hundreds of dollars and years to get the tank to where it was.

Have been running this heater in the 15 gallon sump for my tank for over a year now and it still holds temperature. Heats quickly and keeps all 55 gallons a steady temperature.

I have had aquariums for years and the number one cause of death is malfunctioning heaters. I bought these because of the large display on the outside of the aquarium so you can see it easily. I have had them for a while, and they have been flawless. I would highly recommend these.

I had this heater in my turtle tank, set at 81 degrees fahrenheit. I left the house for 12 hours. When I returned, the actual temperature displayed as "HH", and my tank's thermometer read 98 degrees fahrenheit. It locked on and just kept heating above what it was set to. It killed one of my turtles. This product is defective and dangerous, and killed one of my pets.

Please stay away from this Aquarium Heater. It malfunctioned causing it to spike the water temperature in my aquarium to kill all of my freshwater fish. I quickly pulled it out of the water burning my hands and it started smoking, which then caught on fire. The unit did not shut off as in the product description. It's unsafe and should be pulled from the market. It almost cost me a house fire. I lost all of my 23 fish. I tried to post pictures but of course I couldn't. Go figure

I bout this to replace my old one that died off. I saw this one being digital and thought that would be nice to have. It got the temperature the 75deg and is holding. occasionally I see the temp read 1 or 2 degrees colder (wife keeps the house cold lol) than the setting. But no worries as the little light on this is on and then a few moments later the temp is back were it should be. It also looks good in my opinion. I have this in a 60 gallon tank. Overall felt nice "er" premium you could say as well. I like it. It works.
