I wanted to love this paper. The paper itself is very nice but when it comes time to remove your painting for a new sheet it is very difficult. Most of the time I end up ripping the sheet in the process or accidentally removing two. I'd go for separate sheets or a book next time.

This is wonderful cotton paper. The water and paint move beautifully on the paper without warping. This is as good as the more popular brands and much more cost effective. I will be purchasing this paper block again.

Block seams to be a better way to go rafting are good Is great paper , the texture is good and it works well with Good Watercolor paints. I don't sell my painting but if I did, I do have high quality paper, I am paintings Christmas Cards and this paper is great! I have 3 painting I was ask to paint by my Grand daughter so I will use my Aches for them, this block paper will be my practice paper... they will go in my portfolio or on my wall or give them to her! lol.I hope this inspires you to paint, this paper is really good and affordable, good watercolor paint makes a difference too! Will buy the blocks again.. No stretching, Way to go....spiral not my favorite! Just me!

I would have given this paper five stars but my watercolor block arrived with one corner smashed. Amazon shipped it in just a padded envelope so no surprise it got damaged. Was going to return it but changed my mind after using it. I'll just cut the paper down to a smaller size to work around the damaged corner. Was pleased with the way the paper performed.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the quality of this paper is. It pops the color nicely. The hand is soft and it is a natural white finish. I will be buying more no doubt. I just wish they would seek it in larger sizes and full sheets. It is cotton no doubt.

I am an "advanced" beginner -- so I have tried painting on lots of different brands of paper, and this is the BEST that I have found that is among the cheaper papers. Unlike the other papers in the same price range, this is 100% cotton which I have discovered does make a HUGE different when trying to learn techniques. (So does paint quality, but you can get away with certain cheaper paints as long as the paper is 100% cotton.) I have bought both the block as well as the spiral bound, and both are same paper, but I like the spiral bound version for practicing techniques, as it is easy to use in journal style (flip back through to see progression as you develop skills over time).
