Water Sits on top. It’s hard to practice on paper that doesn’t work like you need it to; however.. for the price.. it’s good for doodling or coming up with ideas to try later on good paper. Or.. maybe a book of color swatches. I’m a complete beginner, so I’m looking for a great bargain. It’s great for on the go. Dries Quickly. I like its price and size. Binding is strong, paper is thick. I will buy again knowing it’s not perfect. If you’re trying to up your game this is NoT the paper for you.

I just recently started drawing/painting and I really wanted some watercolor paper in a small book. I have a regular sketch pad, but that isn't good for watercolors. I got this little book, and although it's cute, that's the only thing good it has going for it. I put washi tape on the edges for a border and the tape ripped the page. The water colors bled through the paper and the paper is wavy and "shedding" after putting just a light water color on it. Save your money.
