The Artistic Essence of Matcha
The matcha tea ceremony represents a profound artistic tradition, focusing on disciplines such as the tea ceremony, calligraphy, painting, flower arranging, incense rituals, and Zen. Matcha is a green tea powder, also known as "matcha", which originated in the Tang Dynasty. During the Song Dynasty, Zen masters introduced matcha to Japan, where it became integral to the tea ceremony. Matcha is traditionally prepared by whisking the powdered tea with hot water until it becomes frothy, using a special bamboo whisk. Finally, it is poured into each bowl and served to guests.
For over 500 years, bamboo has been used to create traditional Japanese tea whisks (chasen). Conventional metal whisks can sometimes impart a bitter taste to the tea. We maintain this tradition by crafting our authentic matcha tools from high-quality bamboo. Bamboo is harder than maple wood yet extremely lightweight, making it an ideal material for our matcha tools.
First wipe the bowl clean. Use the bamboo scoop, take two or three scoops of matcha powder and place them into the bowl.
Then pour the boiling water into the matcha bowl, mix the matcha powder and water with the whisk, and stir to create a fine and dense foam to taste the authentic matcha tea.
After enjoying the matcha tea, fill the matcha bowl with hot water, to clean whisk, and finally put it on the whisk holder to dry.

I got this bundle because I loved it the most out of all the ones I saw. I was worried since it didn’t have a spout it would be hard to use for lattes. I was right, the matcha gets stuck on the rim. It’s a gorgeous set and works for what I need, but wish I had gotten one with a spout.

This was the best matcha set I could have gotten. I received this item about 6 months ago and it is holding up great! It is so easy to use and it has everything you need to whisk up the perfect tasting matcha. I appreciate that the design includes a little spout to pour the matcha out cleanly.

Se trata de un set de preparación de té matcha para la ceremonia del té, que se compone de un batidor de té, el soporte del batidor, un bol o recipiente donde se hará la preparación, una cucharilla de bambú, un soporte para la cucharilla y un colador. También se incluye un pequeño folleto sobre como preparar el té, sus propiedades y otra información relacionada, aunque todo está escrito en inglés.El pack se presenta en una caja de cartón convencional, sin nada especial, aunque le han incluido una tira de papel decorada que le da un buen toque y, en general, queda una presentación muy minimalista pero que quedará bien si lo queremos para regalar.Hay que decir que algunas cosas venían un poco sucias de una especie de polvo negro, que yo creo que es de la propia espuma de protección con la que viene. Nada que no se solucione con un lavado.Yo me he quedado el conjunto de color blanco y la verdad es que queda muy bonito, y se ve de calidad. El batidor y la cucharilla son las tradicionales de bambú que se suelen utilizar en estas ceremonias, mientras que el soporte del batidor y el bol tienen un aire más desenfadado, especialmente el bol, que hace una especie de ondas. Es muy bonito y queda muy moderno, aunque se aleja un poco de la estética tradicional. El soporte de la cucharilla es una pieza de cerámica en forma de pato, que es graciosa y simpática, pero yo habría puesto una pieza más minimalista y blanca para que hiciera juego con el bol y el soporte del batidor. El colador es quizás lo que menos llama la atención, porque es como cualquier otro colador que podamos tener por la cocina, pero quizás un poco más pequeño (no tanto como un colador de cocina).Yo no soy ningún experto preparando té matcha, pero aún así, usando este batidor con el bol, me ha quedado muy bien, con una espuma y una textura muy buena, así que va muy bien y cumple su función perfectamente, incluso en manos de un aficionado como es mi caso.En conclusión, creo que es un conjunto que está muy bien y es muy bonito, que gustará a todos aquellos que nos atrae esta cultura japonesa y nos gusta preparar estas cositas en casa.

This matcha tea set was delivered well wrapped and in great condition. It did have some dirt or debris in the bowl like I had read in some other posts, but nothing gross. Plus, it ought to be washed regardless as it’s been unwrapped from packaging. Haven’t used it yet to rate the whisk, but it appears sturdy enough. The duck rest is adorable!

Bowl is well made, especially for the price. Sleek and matches whisk holder. It also has a spout which is convenient for making lattes or transferring tea to different cups. The scoop, whisk holder, and sifter both get the job done. The whisk is the only lacking part of this entire set, only after a month it started to splinter and break even after blooming in warm water. I haven’t really had this issue with other chasen. It did get the job done but it just wasn’t durable. But still, for the price point it’s a good deal. This is a good set for beginners just maybe consider upgrading the chasen down the line. Everything else should hold up well throughout your matcha journeys.

Ho acquistato questo kit per la preparazione del te matcha secondo tradizione. Arriva completo di tutto, bellissimo da esporre in cucina e tenuto in vista. Ho avuto un piccolo problema con la frusta in bambù ed il venditore mi ha lasciato senza parole per come ha rimediato. Lo consiglio assolutamente, potrebbe essere anche una bellissima idea regalo perché il cofanetto in cui arrivano gli utensili è splendido.
