I am so happy with these!! I bought three 92 inch Ashman shepherd hooks to replace two horrible hollow metal bird feeder poles that literally split and snapped in half. These are solid metal one piece poles that stand perfectly straight and handle my heaviest bird feeders. I put two poles together back to back and was able to slip my North States squirrel baffle over the hooks to hang two bird feeders together with one baffle. The poles were simple to install and the height is just perfect. I couldn’t be more pleased!

The thickest gage metal I've seen on any shepherds hooks! Strong enough to hold the 6 heavy hanging flower baskets all around our deck. I did zip-tie each pole to a railing spindle for extra wind support. Sturdy attractive hooks are painted black and taller than others at 92" high. Came well packaged and undamaged and arrived less than 24 hours after ordering. Very pleased!

These are the strongest and heaviest gauge we have ever found. They are physically heavier than anything in local garden centers. They should service very well for many years. I Will submit a follow-up rating after a years time in service.

At first I though the underground prongs were too short, but the unwanted animals can't reach it to find out. Also love the 1/2" (1.25cm) steel. I'm amazed that they can be forged and shipped at this price for three of them.

Rather, they are 5/8. Some people might be happy with that, but if you pre-drilled the holes for them to go into, they won't fit.

Sturdy and strait. looks good. Easy to get into the ground in spring, even through weed barrier, just step on it and drive it in. Got them for holding hummingbird feeders, so possibly a little overkill, but animals shouldn't be able to climb up and spill the sugar water.

These shepherd hooks are the bomb — very heavy and substantial, very tall, and quite stable when you get them in the ground properly. I also really appreciate that they are made of a single piece of metal — none of that screwing pieces together, etc. Right now I am using only two, but got the set of three because the price ($63) was just too good to pass up! Highly recommend.
