I was getting a lot of complains from friend that they were not able to hear me or not able to hear me consistently. I tried new cables etc. I ordered this mic for my outdated 2013 Astro A40s and the mic works perfectly. Everything is prefect now. Color is different than my original headset but I don't care.

I have owned the headset itself for about 6 years, and I can say it’s weakest link after so long has been the microphone. Being that it’s plastic exterior is always being bent it’s makes sense. This replacement fits perfectly, no issues. Every couple years I will be coming back to purchase this product.

Works perfectly fine and just like the one that came with the headset. It still picks up some breathing but that happens to the one that comes with the headset too, unless you have a MixAmp. Anyway, it’s perfect and is new!

Purchased as a replacement for the mic that came with the noise cancelling mod kit. While the colors dont match as nicely, it fixed the static sound and audio cut outs I was having. Everyone in my voice chat was very happy with the upgrade, as am I.One thing to note is that this mic is significantly shorter than the mic that comes with the mod kit. Easily 1.5 to 2 inches shorter. I think I like the change, some might not.

Bought this to replace a mike that was stepped on. This one works better than the original one! Have gotten great feedback from the guys I play with- they say they can hear me much better than before.

My A40 mic died months ago, so I just set up a Blue Snowball on an arm with a windscreen. That worked okay, but it was annoying having to constantly move it around to see my screen. This mic was a little pricier than I expected it to be, but it is legit and works well. I'm glad to have my headset mic back and a clear desk.

Horrible mic. Doesnt work well and picks up breathing. Have tried to adjust it but I am left to use my studio mic instead. Would not recommend. Simply buy a standalone mic to talk/record.

A friend gave me his headset but I needed to replace the mic. So I bought this product with standard shipping, and it actually came a bit earlier than estimated. Mic works perfectly. Friends can hear me, and I don't echo or any of that. I'm not a huge specialist when it comes to this, but I can tell you it works for what I need it for: The ability to communicate with other gamers.
