This microphone stopped working almost immediately. I probably only used it 3 or 4 times before it stopped working. Unfortunately I didn't realize it had stopped working in time to return it

It seems to work well enough, and for a good price. However it's advertised country of origin is USA, but clearly says on the box Made in China.

This little mic is nice to use got it for a temporary patch as the headset i purchased the mic on it didn’t work properly. Unless you speak directly into this mic and have the sensitivity turned up you sound quiet. Otherwise just a good temporary mic to get you by.

#1: My main use for a PC microphone is for Google voice searches and with this Mic. I can practically whisper my searches from a 3' distance. Shhhh, just whisper what you need to say and she picks it all up with ease, every time. Yes even in a ~noisy room.Update around 1.5 years later: My first one still works great and I just bought another one for another PC.I did my best to try out a different one but the $5 price just cannot be beat or even matched for that matter. Heck, $5is exactly what I paid for my first one back in 2023.

I was hoping for a USB connector but, Okay, my computer also has a 3.5mm microphone jack port (about 1/8") in the back. I plugged this in, the computer recognized it, but when I tried to make it work, the sound was about 5% of what I expected. Very small and quite 'muffled' as if I was talking thru a pillow.I checked all the 'sound input' / microphone setting is my Windows PC computer, and it was all set for 100% volume input. Nonetheless this one was a failure. But for $4.99.... what do you expect? Its a bargain! And... maybe it will work for you. Most laptops and micro computers (remember those? Before the days of IPads?) have the 3.5MM mike input, so maybe this will work for you.I found, however that the Jounivo USB microphone looks about identical, and it works great! But... it cost about $16.99.Sadly, I also bought the Eivotor condenser microphone ($14.99) which is USB connected, and it also performed poorly in my Dell PC computer. It was elaborate and I'll review it separately. Looks super professional, but couldn't perform as well as the Jounivo mike.

Got this mic for $5 because the mic that came with my sound blaster Z dedicated sound card didn't 'impress' me. This actually sounds better. And with my sound cards mic setting set to allow 24 bit /96khz recorded audio (mic works with it) I noticed more clarity. I used a random voice recorder app from the win11 store just to compare. Spoke the same announcement to the mic set with the standard 24 bit 48Khz setting, and then elevated to the 24 bit /96 Khz and the latter recorded a noticeably cleared audio detail /verbal recording. Not an incredible improvement, but a 'noticeable' improvement of which I didn't expect - for $5 lol. 5 star rating easily regarding bang for buck!

Works great, sound quality is good, this is the second one I've purchased because I liked the first so much.

Incredible value, the sound quality is surprisingly excellent and even the build quality is very nice, especially regarding the price. As far as I'm aware, there is no better value microphone than this, almost sounds as good as my AT2020. I'm sure this mic will last me for years, I do not expect it to break anytime soon.edit: bought 7 more of these so I'll never have to look for a good simple mic again, they're also good as a gift

I bought this for a senior who liked to dictate his documents instead of manually typing them. He previously had a headset but said he would prefer something he wouldn't have to wear and could just speak into. Though I haven't tested the actual quality of the mic by listening back to unedited audio of its recording, it works great in Google dictation and recognizes every word he says perfectly.

The rf shielding on this mix is horrible, if its even remotely close to any antenna it screams out emi.

The cord is 6.5' and it's just a plastic body and stand. It was the cheapest stand alone mic I could find on prime at the time. I use it for gaming and chatting with friends when I do not want to use a headset. I like it, it works, and the sounds is clear enough for people to understand what I am saying. Noise is an issue with most Omni-directional mics, but likewise they have very little restrictions on how to use it. I advised most people to use it as close to your mouth as possible and lower the input volume. Don't expect wonders from it, and it'll just do the job adequately.
