The 17mm wrench fitting is invaluable and makes these worthwhile. I guess they had to decide whether durability was more of a concern than low profile, and went with durability.Most of these are no shorter than my standard sockets - the larger ones are for sure though. They could have shaved on another 2-3mm and still had enough to grab a bolt IMO - but IDK if you'd want to use them as impact sockets if that were the case.The way they are is well made, fine for impact, 17mm wrench fitting means you will be able to get them into spots you won't get a socket and wrench. But if you are looking for a super-stubby socket as a specialty tool, not sure this is for you.

They seem like they are good quality. They are just barely shorter than my normal Craftsman sockets but the hex on them allows you to use them in tight areas that you can't use normal sockets. I use them with a Gear Wrench and they work great. Pretty good socket rail too. Price seems high for what you get.

Love these sockets. My only ding is I wish they would fill the stamped size markings with some kind of color. I rectified this with some oil based sharpie markers. It is hard now to find the correct ratcheting wrench with the wire clip to hold the sockets in. Buth they'll work with any 19mm wrench, you will just have to be careful that it doesn't fall out. Also, make sure your ratcheting wrench is reversable to avoid being stuck where you can't get out.

Well made impact set. The sockets are "shorter" than the typical sockets. The markings on them are easy to read. These are impact rated, why boither with anything else?.Relatively thin walled, with a socket (assist) hex grip on the outside, so when you are in a really tight space, you can use them with a hex spanner or box wrench instead of a socket driver proper.The set comes with a hard plastic storage strip. On the recent version, the strip has stoppers on both end, preventing the socket storage pieces from falling out at either end of the storage strip.The inside is hex profile, with the corners eased out, to make them work better with fasteners where the corners are beat to heck. I also have the metric set, just bought the SAE for my son.Highly recommended!

I was looking for six point sockets with strong side walls without the size of traditional impact sockets.These fit the bill perfectly. Small, light weight, high strength. They even have an above average aluminum socket holder with enough space to easily remove the socket you need. The sockets are clearly marked and easy to read.
