At 0.88" (22.5mm) long, these top quality sockets are 35% shorter than standard shallow impact sockets and 15% shorter than other stubby impact sockets. All sockets feature a 17mm outside hex for increased access when used with a wrench.

These nano sockets are great. They are really small and made of Cr MO so they are actually impact sockets. There are a lot of black sockets that are still CRV and advertise themselves as impact sockets. Make sure you get Cr MO for impact. Will be ordering the SAE next. Also really nice that you can slip these onto a 17mm wrench for even better access and options.

Nothing to complain about but it’s a bit expensive if you’re comparing to the super cheap but equally good quality Laser Stubby sockets.

Excellent quality. Wish I had the next larger set. 1/2# SQ drive.Use reversible 17mm drive wrench by Tone with magnetic retention as well as a spring clip as a driver.

I need more time with these. I buy a lot of harbor freight and only used a few quality tools over the years, and that was awhile ago. Nicest rachet set I have is gearwrench and it's not too much different than harborfreight.Initial impressions and a few tests and these are well thought out and high quality. I have the Astro onyx 3/8 nano impact too, premium look, feel, and function. Other than my milwaukee stuff this astro gear is easily the Nicest stuff I own lol. I like my harborfrieght, but let's face it, snap on and companies like that have invested good money into some well thought out tools that I intend to *selectively* invest my money in. Selectively because there's really only so many ways to make a wrench and a HF will usually suffice. I'd like more sizes in the set (bigger) maybe, and a mid length version of this. I'd toss the gearwrench set out of my box.

For the price and the durability, there is no better option on the market from a name brand manufacturer. The ability to use a wrench on the back of the socket doubles the functionality of them. They aren't the hardest hitting socket even when installed on an impact gun, but that isn't what they were designed to do in the first place. At one time, these were my most frequently used sockets until moving into the diesel industry and the need for weighted 1/2" sockets arose

These things are money! I bought them to go with my Milwaukee cordless ratchet, since the 3/8 size, which can cover every size socket I want to use it on, is just bulky enough to make it hard to fit in half the places I want to use it. This solves that problem and some others that I didn't know I had. Small enough to fit and even if I can't get a Sim ratchet in there I can get a ratchet wrench on them, so bolts in a slight depression don't get rounded off. They are great for grip with the he for hand spinning out a bolt where you just can't get enough finger grip on the bolt alone. They are perfect for getting a socket on the upper motor mount bolt on a 350z with a 3/8 impact flex adapter and a few extensions... So far the few I have used an impact on have held up and the 10mm fits great on my Nissan fasteners. I will say they fit nice and snug on metric bolts, so for those cars with a mix of sae or slightly rounded bolts it might be a problem. The rails they come with are so good even the gear wrench socket sets I have are second rate in comparison, the cheap plastic rails are now 3rd class citizens in the tool drawer and the few stamped steel rails are down right embarrassed. These are so good that I want a second set since this one wants to live in the tool go bag with the cordless tools but it's hard to take the king out of the roll cart. I would buy another but now I have to buy new rails first.
